This place is awesome. The servers put on a great show. However you pay for your experience, and 3 combative people were placed around my half of the grill. I would ask that in the future, should a group come in and be unwilling to listen to simple instructions like please sit at the end, then please move them to their own table. My family was subjected to their profanity and low brow comments, ruining our experience.

Best Japanese steak house around. Very personable cooks make the experience a ton of fun. This is our family's go to spot for birthdays and celebrations.  Want a quick meal at home? Get the fried rice to go. Delicious.   If you like scallops, theirs are great, but even the simple teriyaki chicken is wonderful.

This is my favorite restaurant of all time. The fried rice with lobster sauce is TO DIE FOR. The teriyaki steak and teriyaki chicken are also absolutely delectable. They put on quite a show while they cook for you, and the staff are very friendly. If it's your birthday a certain employee will sing a beautiful rendition of "Happy Birthday" for you. I've been to other  steakhouses like this but they do not even compare to Jenpachi. If you are in Rochester this place is a MUST.

Our ten year old son chose Jenpachi for good birthday family dinner.  Thoroughly impressed!  Food was wonderful, our chef was very entertaining and the owners made our son feel special with a personal birthday song...... Thank you and we look forward to coming back!

My family has been going to Jenpachi as long as I can remember! Great food and really fun atmosphere! Great for birthdays and special occasions! The food is honestly so good, however definately not a healthy option. If you weight watching you can always ask for no butter or extra oils and they can accommodate. I can say I think the quality of the food has gotten worse over the years, however I still keep coming back. If you want the food, but don't want to sit down,  there food to-go is just as good! I love just getting fried rice to-go! Overall great for kids and special occasions!
