About

My philosophy of dentistry is to always provide high quality, conservative dentistry that meets, or exceeds, the expectations of my patients. I will always take the time to discuss needed treatment with you so that you will understand why it is needed.

Story

At Dr. Guttman's dental office, we use safer, state-of-the-art digital x-rays, which use up to 90% less radiation than film type x-rays. Digital photographs are also used to aid in our diagnosis. We provide our patients with a full range of treatment options including cosmetic fillings, dental implants, crowns, bridges, and endodontics. Our cosmetic fillings are mercury-free, tooth colored restorations. If you are very apprehensive about your proposed dental treatment, various forms of sedation are available. And, if you have a dental emergency after our regular office hours, Dr. Guttman is available 7 days a week to take your call.

I hadn't been to the dentist in almost 4 years after some pretty traumatic experiences from my past. I knew at the very least I had to get a cleaning done so when I researched which dentist I should go to, Dr. Guttman was my #1 choice. He had 5 star ratings and over 100 reviews. When I called for an appointment, Dr. Guttman actually handled my appointment scheduling himself. After my x-rays and cleaning, I found out I had a bacterial infection in my gums and was able to get an appt for a deep cleaning within the week. Because I'm a total chicken when it comes to the dentist, I chose to be sedated for the procedure. Having taken oral medication for a sedation before, I was very nervous since the first time it didn't work. But with the medication Dr. Guttman gave me, I was completely knocked out. I don't remember a thing nor did I feel a thing. The process was completely painless and hassle free. I will never go to another dentist again. I feel so comfortable going to regular cleanings moving forward and have such peace of mind knowing my teeth are in good hands. Highly highly recommend.

Communication was great before, during and after the office visit. All questions answered and they were very thorough taking the time to explain very thing they were doing and why. I have not been to the dentist for way to long. So, I was totally expecting to have some cavities and other problems. Dr. Guttman took x-rays and did the usual search. If he had said that there were some cavities, I would have believed him and given the go ahead. I was quite pleased to hear him say NONE. Honesty that was refreshing. I would definitely recommend Dr. Guttman and his staff.

This by far the most welcoming and easy-going dentist office experience I've ever had. It's a neighborhood gem, a discrete office space in the heart of Playa Del Rey. It seems that the staff has been working here for a very long time, a testament to the owners and the environment. Highly recommend.

Dr. Guttman is fantastic. He and Debbie made me feel so at ease during my visit. It had been a few years since my last visit to the dentist and I expected the worse. After a stress free and pain free examination, they discovered I only needed a few simple fillings. We scheduled for a few days later and it was a piece of cake. Thank you for making it so painless and simple! I'll definitely return in the future.
