There food was decent however I really appreciated however friendly the staff was so I gave an extra star for that. The chicken taco was pretty good. I got the cheese enchiladas however wish I would have tried the beef ones. I honestly did not care for the salsa. The rice was pretty good and I enjoyed the beans as well.
First time dining here i will say it was very good the service and food. My wife had been coming here as a child she said nothing changed same great food. It is a old hole in the wall family own business. Cant wait to be back.Dine in: YesTakeout: Yes
In my eternal quest for the perfect chicken fried steak, found Jesús Family Restaurant recommended by local paper's food editor. Just a tiny place but here 53 years. 1/2 inch thick tender meat, rich cream Gravy! Tex-Mex awesome, too! They were busy at 3:15 when I arrived. But still excellent service. Apple fried pie for dessert! Yum!
Jesus Family Restaurant is incredible! They WERE a BBQ restaurant pre pandemic. Now an amazing Mexican joint! They have been in business for 53 years. The 92 year old grandfather still in the back cooking!! Grandkids running the front. Went yesterday for the 1st time. I HAD THEIR AMAZING CHEESE ENCHILIADAS IN HOMEMADE CHILI SAUCE. Some of the best I've ever eaten! I'll definitely go back often. This is a hidden gem.
For the Best Old School Tex-Mex in Ft.Worth, go to Jesus Family Restaurant. Mexican Dinner #1 is my favorite!!
Good food, fast service and the best fried pies in town! Parking: Front and rear parking. Wheelchair accessible.
My wife and I have always enjoyed our lunch at Jesus BBQ. I go for their tasty fried chicken. One thing I have to mention is the passing of Mr. Jesus Borjas, my condolences to his family and may God grant him peace and comfort and for his family as well.
Hole in the wall family place that offers authentic tex-mex at great value. Incredibly huge portions. Amazingly friendly service - the people here make you feel like you're part of the family. Food will fill you up and more. This place is frequented mostly by locals so you know it's good. : Also they have homemade pies for dessert that sell out quickly. Worth braving a long walk through an empty and dodgy street to get here. The neighborhood is undergoing gentrification.
Below average Tex-Mex, there is no BBQ on the menu; they have removed their “specialty” brisket tacos. There is A LOT of very good Tex-Mex in Ft. Worth, no need to go here.
Had the beef plate. The pieces of meat were dry tough and definitely not fresh. I would not recommend this option particular meal to anyone. I wish it would have been a better meal for $12. The positives are that this place is quaint and friendly. Also the waitress is very friendly. The chips and fries were very tasty.
