John M. Kelly was admitted to the Wisconsin bar in 1974, the District of Columbia bar in 1975, and has been admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and District of Columbia Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin, the U.S. Tax Court, and U.S. Court of Federal Claims.
He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Georgetown University Law Center, and attended the Harvard School of Business Administration. He was a member
of the Office of Chief Counsel, Internal Revenue Service in Washington, D.C. from 1974-1976. He is a member of the Winnebago County Bar Association, the State Bar of Wisconsin,
the District of Columbia Bar, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the Wisconsin Academy of Trial Lawyers.
His reported cases include: Central Corp. v. Research Prods. Corp., 2004 WI 76, 272 Wis.2d 561, 681 N.W.2d 178; Krueger v. Wisconsin Department of Revenue, 124 Wis. 2d. 453;
369 N.W. 2d. 691 (1985); Sharp Furniture, Inc. v. Buckstaff, 99 Wis. 2d. 114; 299 N.W. 2d. 219 (1980).
