Before I share my experience, I'd like to say the variety of products they have is really amazing from instruments to accessories.
I am a beginner guitarist, and went to get new strings put on my dirty old guitar I haven't played for years. They strung the guitar like I had asked, but also cleaned it and tuned it without even my asking! It looks nearly brand new and sounds great. I bought a pick, and because I didn't know which kind was the best for me, they threw in 2 picks for free!! The whole service totaled JUST $15!!!! 
$15!!!!
I dare you to find a store in the city that'll do all of that for so little. I don't know how it's profitable, but I love it!

There's a reason I've been purchasing my musical equipment almost exclusively from John's Music for over 15 years. John and Scott are knowledgeable, friendly, and dedicated to their trade and their customers. When being on the road forces me to go into another music store, my heart is filled with a profound sadness because it is not John's Music. This is the only business worthy of a bumper sticker on my car. Love these guys!

Not only do John and Scott know what they're doing, they have exceptional customer service and are some of the nicest guys in the business. With a huge selection of guitars and amps they have everything I need every time I walk in. It's great to see a local mom and pop shop flourish in the days of big box stores like guitar center. They also offer lessons and repairs. Awesome spot, a must for any musician visiting the Lowcountry!!

These guys are simply the best, and the old one is just adorable. They take great care of all musicians, local and visiting. Simply put, they are true professionals and are helpful and courteous in every way.
