very poor customer service, poor quality shoes!!! I bought two pairs of shoes from this store last year and they were very poor qualities and when I return to show owner the broken shoes, he demanded money to repair the shoes!!! pretty upsetting experience

Honest and fair. He tells you upfront whether he can or cannot perform the work _and_ he provides an estimate cost. Man of integrity and can fix almost anything! 

* replaced soles of dress shoes
* replaced heels of dress shoes
* fixed/replaced broken zipper on jacket, bag, and pants
* stretched boots
* told me to get new pair of shoes with the last pair; he's right, but I can't throw them away because they have been my favorite pair for 10 years!

Shoe store that does repairs on the side.  The employees are friendly and knowledgeable about easy and extreme repairs.  The prices are reasonable and I've been able to get my shoes back in less than a week almost every time.  This is the best I've found since moving here and I couldn't be happier.

shoddy repair  work and customer service. 
save yourself the aggravation and drive to Evanston or Kennilworth.
