Bocce court, basketball court, tennis courts, soccer & lacrosse fields, fitness trail, kids playground, and covered picnic area. This park has it all, and PLENTY of shade! Great for any activity!
The best playground for younger kids. They have a lot of features that work well with the 2 and under age group including a slide that has rubber instead of wood chips. Plenty of climbing features for the older kids as well as trails for walking the stroll.
We've been taking the dogs here for years, wife's softball games played here also. Pretty well kept walking loops with Physical fitness stations at points along loop. Public restrooms after memorial day, right through labor day. Swingsets, barbecue grills near to restrooms, may have to check availability with parks and rec dog friendly and an easy enjoyable walk. UPDATE: My sister recently threw together a softball game on the Fenced field and being after labor day the restrooms are closed, it would make sense for the town since they let you reserve and play on the field to put a Portable bouse house to use, considering there are no other options nearby.
Great Location in the heart of South Dennis. Tennis, basketball, softball or baseball and soccer field. Bike trail definitely plenty of things to do here
Good park with paths for walking and a playground for kids.
Easy walking trail. Well maintained.
This is a full featured, well maintained public park owned by the town of Dennis. They have playing fields and courts for almost every sport. Some even have night lighting. I especially like the walking trail which has about 10 work out stations along the way. It's like having an outdoor gym! Part of the path has Braille signage. There's also a covered pavilion with tables for group functions and a modern kids playground.
Johnny Kelly serves the tiny to the old. One of the few playgrounds with equipment to provide activities for all ages. From a toddler area to mainstream youth. Forts, swings, climbing challenges are grouped in one area. Basketball and older youth infrastructure laid around the park with a covered picnic section and benches strategically placed so parents, relatives and friends can observe while resting. One of the centerpieces is a walk trail with work out stops for the old folks to stay in shape. All in all a great place to spend some time in a great park. Thanks Dennis Parks Dept for maintaining this town gem in such fine condition.
Great athletic area! Plenty to do for everyone
Such a great idea to incorporate these trails with circuit training-esq. stops along the path in between the baseball fields; basketball and tennis courts. It’s a great spot to get some exercise without worrying about traffic and feeling safe going solo without being bothered/harassed at least in my experience. Every town should have something like that to promote getting outside and staying active without having to pay to use or requiring a permit. It’s also dog friendly! Just be sure they’re on a leash and that you pick up after them, this way it will continue to welcome dogs.
