I stopped by Johnson & Associates today seeking advice/assistance with my taxes for 2017.  They were close by and had a 5-star rating, so I expected this to be a short visit where, at worst, I would be offered insightful advice on how to best complete my taxes and, at best, offer them my business.  Instead, I received an incredibly condescending lecture from Eric detailing how I "screwed everything up" and made so much more work for myself by trying to do them myself.  I have never felt more flagrantly disrespected in a customer service setting.

He was not wrong that I had made mistakes in my filing, and he must be competent overall to achieve a 5-star rating to this point, but competence is not a license to patronize.  Soft skills are at least as valuable as any technical expertise.  Hopefully this review is a "lesson learned" as I was so kindly reminded before being told he couldn't help out.  Unbelievable.

Since starting my business, I have dreaded keeping my books in order and doing my taxes.  Early last year, I engaged Jenny to help reconcile my accounts and put everything in order.  She has been outstanding!  Not only are my books up to date, she was able to assist me in providing the necessary documentation to the bank so that I may purchase my house.  If you are looking for a trusted accountant, I highly recommend Jenny from Johnson and Associates.

I own my own real estate brokerage firm as well as a real estate investment company where I have had several rental properties and have flipped mutable houses. Eric has been doing an excellent job with my business and personal taxes for over six years. Eric has also assisted me with an IRS audit which ended favorably. I highly recommend Johnson and Associates for complex accounting and CPA work like my company needs, as well as simple tax returns. Over the years, I have worked with several CPA firms and I have found Johnson and Associates to be, by far, the best.

I recently became a client of Johnson and associates.  Eric and his entire staff made the whole filing process as painless as possible.  They simplified an otherwise complicated process and were always available to answer any questions I had to guide me. He kept me on point and organized in my first year in business.  I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great CPA.
