Our team of counselors at Counseling & Health Center offers a variety of services for you and your loved ones. We are committed to ensuring that our services are confidential and discrete so that you are able to receive the full benefits of your session. With over 25 years of experience, Lou is well versed in counseling and therapy services. Lou's work history prior to entering a private practice includes Mid-Eastern Iowa Community Mental Health Center and United Action for Youth. She uses existential and narrative therapy, behavioral-cognitive, and object relations approaches to work with individuals, couples, and families. At some point all people encounter difficulties that they need help working through whether they may be personal or family difficulties. Our counselors have the experience you need to help you work through these issues. Our goal is to create a supportive environment in which our clients can find helpful solutions to deal with the problems they face. Karen has over 20 years of experience working in the mental health and wellness community. She holds certifications in both medicine and psychiatry, and completed her MSN in 2003 from the University of Iowa. Karen has worked as an ARNP and RN in both inpatient and outpatient settings serving adults and adolescents. The Counseling & Health Center is committed to meeting our communitys mental health needs through providing services to individuals, couples, children, and families. We embrace a variety of complimentary approaches reflecting our value of connecting body, mind and spirit while carefully and skillfully addressing presenting problems such as depression, anxiety, effects of traumatic experience, mental illness, and relational and family issues.
