I lived in California for a Summer. It was one of the best Summers of my life. I ate Mexican and Tex-Mex almost daily when I lived there; enjoying some of the best tacos and Birria I've ever had. I currently live in New York, specifically near Huntington Station, where you can find some of the best Mexican and Yucatanian cuisine on the Island. I've been to Texas, many times, and have had some of the best Tex-Mex in the country. Hell, I've even been to Mexico and eaten some real, hard-core, street tacos. ...but this... this was monumentally epic. Jorge's is better than good, they are serving someof the BEST Birria Tacos I've ever had. These were OUTSTANDING. The decor screams Oaxaca - from the tables to the banners to the brightly painted walls and twinkling Christmas lights. It's so deliciously hoaky. But then you look over then menu, and you taste the food... and then you just exclaim, 'Yes! That's it! I can die happy now!' Jorge's makes their food with passion, with soul and as if they are making a Sunday dinner for visiting family. I WILL be back. Eat here as soon as you can before they really get discovered, and then it's standing room only or you can only get a table if you make a reservation several weeks in advance. This is well worth the visit! Vegetarian options: Yes. But why would you? This style of cooking is all about the Carnivore... so be a Carnivore. Dietary restrictions: It's a deli first off, then a bar. They make everything from fish and shrimp to al Pastor and Carnitas... they have a little something for EVERYONE. Kid-friendliness: I literally watched a dude walk in to the bar portion with a stroller and take a seat while he day-drank three beers... if that's not kid-friendly, then I don't know what is. Wheelchair accessibility: Parking in the back. Access inside is a little tight, but it's not terrible.
Food was delicious They have a great variety of food. Service was awesome and reasonably priced. Definitely will go back.Food: 5/5
This is a hidden gem in the Woodbury area! I came during the down time, halfway between breakfast and lunch. I was greeted by Jorge himself who took our order. The decor is stylish and fun, and a great place to relax. They have a bar as well as seating. The breakfast was flavorful, and the options creative. You will not regret this place. You must visit and experience Jorge's Kitchen!
Great hearty meal! Had the pipping hot minestrone, beef stew, and other dishes such as fish, chicken and mash potato. Love the freshly made garlic bread with obvious garlic bits. Fantastic homey service too. Parking: Decent number of parking lots Kid-friendliness: Nice decoration Wheelchair accessibility: Flat surface in and out of the restaurant
Great spot off the beaten path. After the big storms and floods weekend prior, more roads opened and I finally escaped. This place is much better than a chain restaurant near the Commons. Sizable menu, plenty to drink. I had a Cuban panini with Modelo on draft, quietly sat at the bar and watched a baseball game. Food: 5/5
The service while a little in the slow side was fantastic and attentive. The food was excellent and worth the wait.Food: 5/5

We Love Jorges Kitchen! It's not only family owned and operated, but it's always clean, super friendly staff, inviting atmophere, amazing food and amazing drinks. Cinco de Mayo was a blast with the DJ! This is an absolute MUST GO TO place- especially for the BEC that's a GREAT way to start off your day!Food: 5/5
My wife suggested we give this spot a try for breakfast this past week and I'm so glad she did. I found a new favorite spot for breakfast. My French toast and sausage was made just the way I like it and the service was phenomenal. Breakfast for two came out to under $23. I'll definitely be returning.Food: 5/5
