A wonderful farm-to-table restaurant in Wells.  A fine dining location where relaxed dining is available.  Wait staff is very good,  but does not hover.  Have eaten at Joshua's several times and have always been very pleased with food and service.  Make reservations.

Great food. My only complaint is with the bartender. It was very slow when I went. I travel for work and was there for dinner and a beer or two. I ordered my beer and got a menu. My 600 LB Life was on the tv. I commented to the bartender, "This is great for my appetite." She didn't offer to change it. While I feel bad for the people on that show, when I go out to eat I want to feel good and maybe indulge in some appetizers that are bad for me. I told her, I can't watch this. Can I get a table? She said yes sit anywhere. No apology and of course, still no offer to change the channel. Poor customer service.

I've just got to say how INCREDIBLY disappointed I am that the pool tables are gone!! & what's the point having extra tables in wintertime?? I imagine they will never be filled up, it would make sense to have the tables put in for summer, but keep the pool tables in winter. Me and two other people walked in and walked out a the other night. You could have made money off of pool, drinks, and food... but we walked out extremely upset, and there really isn't another place we like to play pool that's close. Benchwarmer's setup is too snug. PLEASE BRING THEM BACK!!! :(

We enjoyed our stop at Joshua's. The food was good. The lobster stew was ..... really, really good. It is incredibly rich -be aware if you order a bowl.
The atmosphere was pleasant. The history of the name is priceless.

Great location, friendly service, good variety of specials, excellent menu choices, full bar. Definitely a pub / college / casual atmosphere. The food was delicious, and our server refilled my water about 1000 times with a smile. Very reasonable prices. Loved it.
