We had 2 rooms. The upstairs room was great. The downstairs room not so much. I thought it was fine for the price.

No issues with staff, room was clean, high quality for the price. If I return I will always revisit. Would definitely recommend.

Highly Recommended! Me and my girlfriend arrived at 2330 and the owners and staff stayed awake intill we arived! That is simply amazing! Of course we called a head of time. The rooms are neatly kept and a great quality for the price one would pay to stay a night. Prices here are only about $15 to $20 more then local Motel 6 but totaly worth it. I was highly pleased with this hotell, this would blow others out of the water on the East Coast that ask the same price. Parking is also free.

Guests who may be arriving at night ARE NOT WELCOME at this hotel! I really tried to give this hotel a chance. I gave them business and would have continued to give them a lot more. I live in San Francisco and visit family in Woodland every couple weeks. I usually stay a few days. I'm also the only one in my family with a lot of money, so I typically pay for a couple rooms when we are having family gatherings. This happens a lot. This hotel is the closest to my family, so it was becoming our regular spot. I booked it about 5 different times for myself and family. I was planning on booking many more nights. The location works for me. However the customer service has been quite strange. The last time I tried to book THEY WOULD NOT CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD for the stay in advance. The old man who runs the hotel told me: "You better get here by 10pm or you can't stay!".He was acting like a parent that was giving me a curfew!! My cousin was having a baby, so we didn't know what time we would arrive. It could be in the middle of the night. I'm a successful world traveler. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels and never dealt with this. I imagine It would always be such a scary feeling not being able to book the room advance.. What if if your flight was delayed and you arrive to no room! I get the sense that they do this to people constantly, because they don't want to help customers at night. Can you believe that this is supposed to be a hotel? It's honestly just horrifying!! Besides making no sense being absolutely insane... What a horrible business practice for them!! Typically- You change my card and if I show up great, but if I don't too bad for me... I STILL GET CHARGED! Can you even imagine all the money they are loosing by not running this like a real hotel! If they don't want people showing up in the middle of the night they either need to hire a night clerk or GET OUT OF THE HOTEL INDUSTRY! Message to manager: This level of customer service is completely unacceptable. If you keep running a hotel like this you will only attract a very low clientele! You are acting like you are a bitter old man on a power trip. Your wife try's to run the hotel in a more professional manor, but you are in her way. You should no longer deal with costumers or answer the phone. You are destroying everything and your wife knows it! YOU JUST LOST A LOT of money from me . You are your own worst enemy and you are killing your business. You either need to accept the fact that a hotel clerk is available all night long or hire someone. If don't change this immediately you need to sell the hotel or be fired! I ended up staying at the Best Western Shadow Inn instead. The experience was so much better.They booked the rooms right away with no problems! The hotel itself was just lovely. The hotel is run by high-end professionals. It's also a much nicer, much cleaner hotel for THE SAME PRICE! I will stay at Best Western every-time from now on. When you are spending hard earned money you should feel respected... You will feel respected at the Best Western Shadow inn!
