Great place, great food, great prices and beer selection. Staff are friendly and great place to sit and watch the cars and bikes go by. BBQ is good (and I’m pretty picky as I smoke my own) and the shop has some cool items as well. Definitely have to stop here if you’re passing through.

Looking for a cool, backwoods BBQ joint where you can drink at the bar or eat with family? Well this is the place. Took the wife on a Friday night,(Which happened to be karaoke night). Ate some good BBQ, jawed with our neighbors, and really had a great time listening to the young and old crooning to us. The singing was Actually pretty dang good! Most of all, we were comfortable. The owner, JR., actually took the time to shake my hand, thank us for coming, and making sure everything was to our standards. Now I don't know how you all do, but when I spend money I want them to be just as proud of it as I am trying to make it. Shook my hand on the way out and thanked me again. Yup...your money's well- spent here.

We stopped here after four days on the Appalachian Trail. Great BBQ, cold beer, and a friendly staff. We met JR and enjoyed our lunch here.

We stopped here on a Sunday afternoon. Was not very crowded. The biggest turn off was the older lady waitress who was the crankiest person I have ever met in Georgia. She just flung the menus down.  When she took our order she looked like she was the most angry person in the world. Instead of a nice pleasant greeting, all she said is "What you want?". We placed our order and my wife ordered an appetizer of Brunswick stew. After waiting 10 minutes, my wife asked about it which the old woman replied we're busy which if that was a busy day I don't know how they are in business. After that we decided to leave. I went to the younger waitress who was super nice and told here I wished to pay for our drinks explaining why we were leaving. She said not to worry about paying and apologized. That was probably the only good in this short lived visit to this place.

The food is great and the people are very friendly.  I've been to several BBQ places in the North GA mountains and this is one of the best!  The ribs are large & just Fall Off the bone.  My daughter had the BBQ chicken with Slaw and sweet potato fries and loved it,   

We often travel with our dogs.  So, in the warmer months we eat on the porch with our pooches next to us or just call ahead and pick up our order To-Go.   Try the Sweet Tea.....its not "make yo teeth hurt" too sweet & not bitter.   It's worth checking out.
