The only thing I can say is I will go back as soon as possible. The food is simply amazing, from a delicious sausage to a juicy brisket full of flavor. I can't believe how well the food was prepared. It is truly a gem in Nashville, and I'll make it one of my standard stops when I'm in the city from now on. The staff is also super friendly and made me feel more then welcome. I highly suggest you give this place a chance if you like BBQ. I had the meat platter with brisket, sausage, red jacket potato salad, and cowboy beans.
Wonderful little bbq joint with awesome staff and great food. They smoke their own meats out back and the bartender pours a mean drink. Worth the ten minutes from downtown.
Honestly I wanted to give 5 stars because these folks are very nice. But I must be honest and say that we were very disappointed. The service was good. The portion sizes were good. But the brisket was extremely dry and the potato was not that great it had way too much pork fat. The jumbo laya was good. The sweet tea and the service was the best thing!
Ribs were burned, briqcuit was cold. The greens were excellent, so was the P.B.R.. I graded them on their F.B as well. Was sick next day. I saw the locals loved the drinks. No one ate when I was there. Highly disapointed. Thought TN. Knew how to do bbq...NOPE..Food: 1/5
Ordered 2 meat platter with brisket and sausage. Everything was cold when delivered. Brisket was inedible. Tough, fatty, and full of gristle. Sausage was tough as well. One barbecue sauce at the table. Pathetic. Worst barbecue experience I have ever had across 7 states.
Phenomenal food. Enjoy the smoky BBQ smells wafting through the parking lot and taste that great flavor in the pulled meats. Do not add BBQ Sauce to this perfect flavoring.
It’s pretty standard as far as a bbq place. Legendary loaded nachos does get a recommend and the meat was tender. Just lacked flavor and tried to compensate with bbq sauce. Good, not great.
My husband brought home take out from Judge Beans. It was beef brisket, corn on the cob and greens. When I took a bite of the greens someone had soaked them in pepper vinegar. It ruined the whole meal. No one in the kitchen should ever put any hot sauce on anything. That choice belongs to the customer and only the customer. Judge Beans is now on my don't eat list. Years ago, I had stopped doing business with Judge Beans because the take out had a black burned, hard as a dried up rock beef. We stayed away for almost 10 years. We decided to give them another chance. I am so sorry we let our guard down. Suggest you stay away from this eating establishment.
Good selection of beer and friendly staff. I think the appetizers taste better than the entrees. The Texas sushi was interesting and the nachos was pretty good. The ribs were so so - perhaps go with something else. The kitchen seems to do a better job using beef as ingredient vs pork. Price of food was very reasonable, probably cheaper than other BBQ place.
If in Brentwood I make it a point to stop. I live an hour away. Sides are great I love the coleslaw because it's made with vinegar. Pulled pork is on point and brisket flavor is great. Wish it was a little more juicy. Gets busy quick try to avoid main meal hours.Food: 5/5
