My daughter and I stayed at the Jug Handle Creek Farm a few days ago and although we had a very nice stay, the only negative was that the proprietors were stingy with their Wi-Fi network and wouldn't share it. First, when I asked for the Wi-Fi password, Michelle said "we don't have Wi-Fi", but when I asked about the network that my phone found, called nonethere, she said that they get their Internet service by satellite and are limited to 25 GB per month.

In this day and age, everyone expects Wi-Fi and innkeepers provide it. Not having Wi-Fi simply because the proprietors wouldn't share was galling for me, since I run a business and happened to need it the two days we were there, so no, I won't be going back.

This is one of my favorite places on Earth. It's rustic, it's communal and you have to take care of yourself, but it's clean and peaceful and in a beautiful location. This is a Nature Center and a non-profit. This isn't a bed and breakfast. There is an amazing kitchen and you have the opportunity to share a big beautiful Victorian farm house with fellow travelers. Or you can stay in one of the cabins. It's bare bones and no frills, but in the middle of the redwoods, on the ocean, why would you need frills? It's totally amazing. Anyone giving this place a bad review doesn't understand or appreciate where they are. If you want a space to meditate and explore and adventure, the Jughandle is the place to go.

Nice spot, poor management. Don't expect much and just go somewhere else, so you avoid disappointment.
