Julio's Restaurant
"The menu has familiar dishes like burritos, nachos, carnitas, and carne asada, but they are not your franchise Tex-Mex or Ameri-Mex. And there are always daily specials, which, as one reviewer put it, “are to die for. You can never go wrong.”"

Solid food in an unpretentious environment makes for a comforting meal. My wife and I both had carne asada in our dishes and it was the best I've ever had! Great flavor and nice charring from the grill. The rest of our food was good, if not noteworthy. This place was a pleasant surprise. Its quality rises above what I'd expect from a Mexican restaurant in a strip mall. Service was low-key and nice. Food was warm and comforting. I'll definitely be back!
My friend and I came here for dinner because of all the good reviews. Very pleased to say the food lives up to the reviews. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and my friend ordered the Puerco en salsa verde. Both were amazing. The drinks were good too, although my Cuba libre was preferred over the margarita.Food: 5/5
I had a great first experience here! The staff is attentive, food was delicious, this place definitely surprised me! At first glance it is pretty small and wasn't very busy when I went but it got busy pretty quickly. Definitely will come back!Food: 5/5
Perfect quick bite when dinner didn’t materialize at home! Looking forward to their patio opening for summer dining. We ordered the Super Burrito Verde with chicken and the Chicken Enchiladas. Both were super yummy and served hot. Loved their spicy salsa too. Friendly staff were very attentive. Will be back for sure. Susan Says…qué rico!
I am not a fan of Mexican cuisine generally speaking. This is one of two Mexican restaurants in the Seattle-area that I like. The food is more fresh and flavorful than I have had in other restaurants. The staff take really good care of their customers and treat regulars like family. Can modify and accommodate for vegetarian and food restrictions as well. My husband LOVES their homemade tortilla chips. Highly recommend!
Love the chorizo queso! Everything else has been great! Salsa is a bit spicy but enjoyable.Food: 4/5
Food was good and drinks were reasonable! Would recommend the chicken with their special sauce, was super tasty!Food: 5/5
Today was my first visit to Julio’s, and I am surprised in a good way to find such a delicious Mexican restaurant near home. This is the best that I’ve had from Seattle to Everett. I had chicken enchiladas and my wife had the pollo asado. Very flavorful dishes! The chicken for both were moist and expertly cooked. The rice and beans were also a cut above other places that I’ve been to.
Not a good experience this time. Too loud with no TV or music - just loud chatter. Dishes have changed and my order was just ‘eh’ - condiments were too spicy to enjoy, yet we were charged almost $5 for each item even just plain beandip, salsa, sour cream. The skinny margarita was also not tasty - not sure why?! Our waitress was friendly, but the kitchen was severely lacking tonight. Wonder if they were short staffed? Took over an hour to get our main meal… won’t go back any time soon. Very unfortunate as this used to be our ‘go to’ for Mexican food.
Went here for lunch between classes at UWB one day and got pretty good value. Around $15 including a soda and 20% tip for a tasty and reasonably sized meal. The pork was a little underwhelming, but the chicken taco was amazing. To top it all off I was in and out in 20 minutes, the waitress was friendly and prompt, and parking wasn't too bad. Parking: Free public parking across the street underground
