The waitress seated us and promptly brought chips and took our drink order.  I order chili relleno crispy, there was nothing crispy about it and no sauce on top.  My husband got tamales and said they were good.  We drank tea and she never came to refill our drinks nor ask if we would like to go cups.  They spoke very little English.  Would suggest you go some place else in Carlsbad.

This is the best Mexican food in Carlsbad. I ate at the other places... trust me, the food was either bland, or extremely spicy with no flavor.  But juniors got the spicy/flavor ballance just right.

Home-made goodness!
Our food was delicious & the service exceptional. Thank you Adriana for taking great care of is! 

It was a bit hot due to poor air conditioning but the food was totally the visit!

Went for a late lunch. Staff was very friendly and seemed to have no issue with the token tourist/white chick that rolled up at 3pm for REAL Mexican food. 
Food was excellent... From the chips and salsa to the chile relleno w/ homemade tortillas. Crispy is still light and fluffy, no sauce on top.

It should be more like -5 stars. Over priced for terrible quality and place infested by flies. We ordered the following: 
Tostadas: (1)chicken was dry, avocado was black; I couldn't force myself to eat it. (2) asada was also dry, salty and it literally looked green. 

Carnitas plate: carnitas were extremely dry, so dry you'd think you're eating rocks. 

Table over, customer returned his seaafood soup because it was raw. 

We will NEVER go back there again and do not encourage anyone to risk getting food poisoning. This is my opinion.
