I've seen the place for years and years and finally went there to celebrate a friend's birthday. The food was fantastic. The beef kabob was perfect! The owner and his staff were very hospitable. The kabob meal for two was generous and well priced.

This is the only Afghani restaurant in Seattle as far as I know, and it is one of my favorite restaurants. I love both the lamb and the chicken kabob, I can never decide which one to get. Make sure to get extra Salata, as it is really good. And finally, the rose pistachio saffron ice cream is fantastic. I wish they had a lamb chicken combo platter for people like me though.

Great Afghan restaurant, great ambient and very friendly/helpful staff. Good selection of dishes to choose from and reasonable selection of alcoholic drink and desserts. Lamb kebab is their speciality. Highly recommend this restaurant.

For 20+ years, and after traveling quite extensively, this remains among our favorite restaurants in the world. One telling indicator? The same wait staff has been there the entire time. It's almost always jam packed and often with long standing repeat customers (like ourselves). Why? The food is simply terrific (just order the combo for two, gets you a multi course smorgasbord of some of their best stuff). Their deserts are equally delicious (don't miss the Ferni). The staff is excellent - efficient, kind, engaging (but not too engaging). Get a reservation if you have a larger party else be patient (it's worth the wait).

I love this restaurant. The service is friendly and low key. The food is truly delicious—with the eggplant side dish (Badenjan Borani) being one of the yummiest things I can imagine eating, and the rice that comes with every entree being so good I actually eat all of it and want more. They accommodated our party of 14 on a Saturday night without blinking an eye. If you’re new to it, you’ll have to resist the impulse to eat there 3x per week.
