This spot has quickly become my go to Korean food in Astoria. Being Korean myself, I am a harsh critique when it comes to Korean food but everything I’ve tried tastes authentic and spot on. Woo is the friendliest server and makes sure we have a great dining experience every time. P.S he makes the best watermelon soju Kid-friendliness: Very kind friendly and a lot of dishes kids would love!
We just love it here. The most wholesome delicious food and amazing folks who run it. Very unassuming casual low key place, excellent service, comforting meals. Some of our favorites: crunch tofu appetizer, ssam, scallion pancakes appetizer, bibimbap with tofu, and soy bean paste stew/soup. Must visit - I’d be remiss if I did not write a review.
I had a wonderful time at this cozy Korean restaurant. The food portions were just right, and the staff provided exceptional service. Highly recommended for a delightful dining experience!Food: 5/5
A hidden gem for amazing Korean food! This restaurant is cozy and narrow with decently priced food. There isn't too much seating though - about five 4-seat tables and three 2-seaters. The chairs were kinda uncomfortable, and the cushion wouldn't really stay in place. There also wasn't much space at the smaller table for all the food and side dishes, so it was very cramped. Aside from the poor furniture choices, the food was well worth the discomfort. First, there's a simple QR code to scan for the menu. The menu is simple and each dish has a corresponding photo. The special combo was very worth it, as it came with two dishes. I got the 'Bulgogi or Spicy Pork + Tofu Stew' set. The tofu stew was incredible. The broth was so flavorful and addicting. Plus, it came with lots of ingredients - tofu, mushrooms, egg, and kelp ?. The bulgogi was also very flavorful and sweet. It came out on a sizzling plate so make sure you let it cool down a bit. And ofc, every Korean restaurant has unlimited banchan side dishes. Normally I only like one or two at other restaurants but l liked every single side dish that I literally cleaned up the plate.
Very happy to find this Small Cozy Korean restaurant close to my home! Don't have to travel far to Korea town anymore! The food is delicious!Food: 5/5
This is a small place but you won't regret it. They have indoor and outdoor dining. If you pay cash I believe there's a discount. The service was GREAT!!! Woo was so attentive and welcoming!!! The menu has great options! The food has so much flavor and it's a great portion. You will definitely come out full. So happy I found this place. We loved everything we got.
Amazing food and phenomenal value for the price! The bulgogi and crunchy tofu were fantastic and big enough to take leftovers home for a whole second meal. We were blown away by the soju watermelon drink — probably one of the best cocktail deals in nyc! So tasty and can probably feed an army comfortablyFood: 5/5
Hidden gem in the neighborhood that made me post my very first review ever! All dishes we had were excellent I’m a Korean myself and the staff were very friendly. Definitely recommend.Food: 5/5
The atmosphere is great, service is amazing! The Galbi Bibimbap was great, the only thing to note is the bulgogi stew is too sweet for my taste and the kimchi felt too aged. The chicken was decent.Food: 4/5
My recent experience with KAL left me thoroughly impressed. Opting for takeout, I was pleased by the meticulous packaging. The pickup process was seamless. Upon arrival, my order was promptly ready. Food was flavorful. 5Food: 5/5
