Pretty braids terrible service. If you wanna wait 2 hours for overpriced service with phone talking, constant breaks, and kids running around this is the place. Don't even get me started one the 3 people rotating to work on me and the level, lack thereof professionalism.

Horrible experience. Extremely dissapointed. If you have thick natural 4c hair, get ready to be disrespected and ignored. Despite making an appointment, and being very clear ab the type of hair I have, its length and texture, they were not ready. (I had it blown out too, so it would be easier)The lady that was going to braid my hair was not even in the salon. She was braiding hair at a different salon. Her daughter, the manager at KamAfrique called her after pawing, and pulling at my hair with a sneer on her face, to tell her that her micros appointment was here but that she had natural hair that was very, very hard very thick. All this with an expression of disgust on her face (and in French, not realizing I understood). After she finished that call, they suddenly weren't going to be able to honor my appointment and wanted to reschedule. I obviously challenged her on this and she had the audacity to deny ever pawing at my hair or expressing disgust. Through the discussion I realized that they simply want to work as quick as possible while putting in the least amount of effort. Nevermind the customer. They see dollar signs nothing more. So I found a different shop. When I walked in and said what i wanted they said 'we can do it'. They had me in and out in under 4hrs. I know my hair is a challenge but if you are going to call yourself an African braiding shop, you should be able to handle all types of textures in a proffesional manner. KAMAFRIQUE DOES NOT RESPECT NATURAL HAIR!!!

By far the best hair salon in Rochester! My hair is naturally curly, and Kama is the only stylist that managed to get twists to stay tight in my hair.

I love coming here to get my braids! The lady's in Kamafrique know what there doing 24/7!!! No matter who you get your leaving with a smile!

I've gone there twice now and every time I go. I always walk out loving my braids. I've gotten some kinky twist and also single braids from them. I especially like the kinky twist because it worked well with my hair texture and there the one that recommend me to get the hair style. the price is a bit much but there work is amazing and there very nice. I would go there again for some work on my hair. the boss is a really nice lady nd I've also been to both locations.
