Genuinely, one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. I was spending my last day in Chicago and wanted a good last place to eat. Unfortunately, this did not exceed or even meet my expectations. I had ordered the seafood ramen and received a bowl of lackluster broth. As I was eating, I found that there was a dead fruit fly in my food. I notified my waitress and she took it back to the kitchen. Instead of preparing me a brand new bowl of ramen, I was given the same bowl back with replaced broth. I noticed that the inclusions were the same and the pieces I had eaten were not replaced. I was very disappointed with this experience and felt it was unfair that they cut corners on food, yet I still had to pay full price, ~$30, for a bowl of ramen and six pieces of sushi.
Just had a nice meal this evening. They just opened around 3:30 on Sunday we’re getting ready for guests. Atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy as it can only seat about 18-20 people total. We ordered a maki roll of salmon avacado and it was fresh and tasty. I ordered a gyoza ramen. Broth was tasty, gyoza were hot and crispy. Friendly attentive service.
Kameya is a staple favorite in our household. We love ordering take out and also eating in person. The Lincoln park location is so cute and the service is always good. We love it here!Food: 5/5
This charming sushi spot has great ambiance and even better sushi. We sat at an outside table on the intimate sidewalk patio with string lights. Restaurant is BYOB and there is a liquor store conveniently across the street. All three rolls were delicious. We will be back!Food: 5/5
Absolutely loved the food at Kameya. I am a vegetarian and loved their veggie spring roles and avocado sushi was so fresh!!! I finally ordered Veggie gyoza ramen in miso broth, which was exceptional! The person, who served us was very polite and also played some k-pop songs as per my niece's request. This was overall a great experience and I highly recommend this gem of a ramen restaurant.
Absolutely delicious! The ramen broth was so full of flavor and the mango tropical roll was refreshing. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Great quick lunch stop.
The sushi was some of the best I have ever had. The Godzilla roll was life changing. It is a super small place so go early but it is absolutely worth it. Dietary restrictions: They did well with my wife's Celiac disease. Wheelchair accessibility: The bathroom is not ADA compliant so if you need to use the bathroom and have a wheelchair you will need to go elsewhere.
We went there on a Saturday evening and the staff told us that it was a 5 minute wait. I thought it was funny and why not! There are valentine’s decor up and it’s so cute and romantic! I also really loved the twinkling fairy lights but I was sitting against them on the ledge of the window. It was not uncomfortable per se; it was just very narrow and inconvenient especially with all the big winter coats. They got a bit busy but the staff were still very friendly and service was great nevertheless. We got the Takoyaki, Kameya Ramen extra spice on the side, Kameya house roll, and Godzilla roll. The ramen was chewy and there was depth to the broth, pork belly was a little overcooked. The makisushi were delicious and the presentation was beautiful - each table had a different picture on their plate. I also got pork gyoza and 911 salmon roll to-go. The gyoza was so yummy  so was the salmon roll even after I microwaved it a day later. The wrap was soft on the sides and crunchy on the bottom and the meat inside was not dry. The bill wasn’t too bad for how much we ordered; it was ~$30 per person.
Honestly surprised this place isn't constantly packed. Went in for a date, we got two different ramen, they both made top 3 I've ever had. Not a huge place, but the space available is lovely.Food: 5/5
This is a small, cozy and very affordable restaurant. The food it's tasty and fresh, our server was very knowledgeable of the menu and very attentive. Everything came out quickly and this was the best ramen bowl I've ever had in Chicago! I'll be going there again!
