I was able to stay relatively close to my diet, having had 2 vegetable servings and no rice, along with steak and shrimp. The butter as a cooking medium was the only thing I had in excess of my ideal dietary limitations which I can work off with exercise. Thus, I combined 2 protein meals in 1 meal and it was a treat I plan to enjoy again as i just needed to add 2 smartcarbs such as fruit or sweet potatoes to round out my diet requirements for a 4 ounce protein dinner and a 2 ounce protein snack. I did not gain any weight nor lose any weight which is an excellent result for a treat on a diet. Of course,  it was great for those watching their diets as well as those who are not. Many families were there celebrating birthdays.

I came here to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday around 7PM -- only a 15 minute wait. We sat in the section where they cook in front of you. It was very entertaining and the chef was very skilled and had a sense of humor. The food was a 3.7/5 and the service was a 5/5, but I want to commend them on the timing of when they give you food. You are given food at regular intervals so there is no excessive waiting time nor impatience because you see it prepared in front of you.

I literally can't say a single bad thing. They are renovating right now, but the atmosphere is awesome. I have eaten at the hibachi grill section and it was awesome. I ate at the sushi bar and I have eaten at the tables. The service is dope. The food is fantastic. Perfect date spot. 

Yeah it's expensive but it's also worth it. And I'm cheep cheep most of the time.

Have been here countless times before, same location. Have never been dissatisfied. I bring my wife and two kids and we are always greeted with smiles! Staff is the best (shoutout to Chi for always making sure that we are taken care of.).

Steak, shrimp, rice, vegetables, salmon, lobster tails.... You cannot go wrong eating here.

I have gone to both the Crabtree and Durham locations of Kanki multiple times. This was my first time at this location. We had Jorge as our chef, and he was one of the best chefs I have had at Kanki, or any Japanese Steakhouse. Very entertaining, and our food was cook very well. I would ask for Jorge the next time I go.
