What a hidden gem!! Super tender and crispy chicken and yummy sauces, also very reasonably low price for the portion you get!  You can also order online and it only took 5min for my order to be ready :  Just an FYI I got the kimchi bowl which is the only bowl that doesn’t include steamed rice which I didn’t notice.

Great food - will defo be coming back! The Japanese gravy reminds me of the hot chips & gravy from the north of the UK. The cookies & cream thickshake was delicious too. Yum!!!Food: 5/5

Be careful of the extreme hot food and the fact they prioritize takeaway orders over in house orders from Abandoned Brewery.  Had we known how long the wait was and how hot the food was then we would have avoided the ingestion.Food: 3/5

Tried for the first time yesterday, already went for a second time today. Great tasting chicken with so many options to choose from. Ordered takeaway through the app, food was still hot when I reached home. Highly recommended for chicken lovers.

Bit of an own goal - my karaage bowl went in the bin but most of that was my fault - didn't research the sauces before ordering and it was too spicy for me. Was going to salvage the chicken but it was a bit dry and chewy, so gave up with it all. The shakes were awesome though and I reckon if you know what you're ordering, and you hit the place when everything is cooked fresh then it would be a winner.

Our favourite takeaways. Food is excellent and good value.  Meals can be spicy great so best to check before ordering. Friendly team. Food always top notch and delicious.  Keep it up.Food: 5/5

If you like chicken, then you'll love The Karaage Kid in Porirua. Great location - next to Abandoned brewery ideal for beers! where you can sit and easy parking too. Staff are fantastic, they clearly love what they are doing and make the best chicken burgers in town. Chips are fantastic - I suggest at least getting gravy on them. Chicken bites are great and leave you wanting more. Any of the combos are well priced. I'm not much of a take away fan, but this place has kept me coming back. I've pretty much had the whole menu. I'd happily eat any of the choices. Try it, you won't be upset.  Parking: I've always found a spot.

Bowl review. Way too heavy on the sauce and rice, way too light on the salad and chicken, overall resulting in an edible dish overwhelmingly rich. Burgers are probably a safer bet, but the bowls definitely avoid and for the price... pretty bad
