DISHONEST, DECEITFUL, CROOKS!!!!!! NEVER do any business with Kevin or Tony at Kars Plus in Pasadena!!! I went in to purchase a car from them and after taking it to have a buyers inspection found a list of problems. I was then told by Kevin that the in-house Kars Plus mechanics would do all the work for me to repair the car. After they called me and told me the work was finished I took it to another mechanic to check the quality of their work before buying and found that THEY HAD DONE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to the car!! When I went back to confront them, after being lied to a few more times, Kevin came clean and told me he didn't do any of the things he said he had because "he didn't think it was necessary"!!! Not only did they LIE to me, but they tried to make me pay $2,000 above the asking price for the work they DID NOT DO! Needless to say, I am out $400 for the two buyers inspections and at square one again in my car hunt! PLEASE, FOR YOUR OWN SAKE....NEVER GO TO KARS PLUS!!!!!! I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau to try to ensure this doesn't happen to anyone else

I purchased a car roughly 1 year ago. Unlike smart people I didn't take the 2008 passat to an independent mechanic. I initially came in for a 2006 Jetta but had too many problems, including transmission. After bringing back the Jetta 4 different times on different issues within 2 weeks, I demanded my money back OR another car. After much arguing Kevin sold me the 08 Passat which I initially loved, however the price that he quoted me from one day to the next was higher, and turns out the oil pump and filter needed to be replaced. A year later I've coughed up approx $2,000 in repairs. I know this is my fault for accepting the car in the first place BUT I am convinced that KARS PLUS purchases VW from the local VW dealership that are in such bad condition KARS is the only place that will accept them at bottom dollar, so they could turn around and up-charge at a unreasonable % without disclosing the problems or fixing them in the first place. PLEASE AVOID KARS PLUS AT ALL COST!
