A wonderful park and a great beach for those who prefer quiet and family friendly over the crowded party beaches further south. On the most crowded days you can still usually find a quiet spot to yourself. The beach is always clean, and there are convenient changing rooms and restrooms near most of the parking areas. They do charge a small fee for entry but it is worth it for how peaceful it is compared to the public beaches.

My family loves going here. It's got a beautiful beach, splash park, and awesome camp grounds. The only reason I gave it three stars instead of five is for their season pass. It's the most ridiculous thing. You pay $100 for your vehicle, not you. I can't use my husbands truck on the weekends if I register my car for during the week. If I pay $100 for a pass I'd better be able to use it at my convenience. It's the only thing that stops us from going as much as we'd want to because I love this place! Also, they take credit cards now for entry, you don't need cash.

The park is very nice and is family friendly there is a lot to do the beaches are very nice. They also have a playground and a splash pad for little kids which is very nice as well. Now for the downside you cannot call the office at all you can only email them that is the only way they will respond to you this is very inconvenient. On Tuesday they changed the gate codes they do not tell you about it it's just on a pamphlet that you have to read. I would only recommend this part if you have all your ducks in a row and all the information about the part that you needed. The staff in the main entrance is worthless they say they do not have enough staff for someone to answer the phone. Me and my family came in from having fun at the park they did not tell me the gate code changes and we were stuck at the gate until someone else drove up behind us to give us the new code so we can get back to our RV.

Very big and pretty. You have camping, which I didn't do. You have your choice of the ocean side or the lake side. They rent out small boats to go fishing in. Bathrooms...I walked in and turned right around and left. Yuck! Play areas for kids. Parking is minimal. Beach side clean. Lots of picnic areas.

I love this place but don't want to tell you why... it's too crowded as it is :) I have heard it's got some pretty fun mountain bike trails. I haven't checked them out though... it's on my list.
