Best Ramen I've tried in Laredo. The broth is super flavorful it's made of chicken and pork, except for the veggie one. Ramen is very well served. They even have a Veggie one which is extremely delicious. The appetizers are also very tasty, recently they introduced some chicken wings with unique flavors, haven't tried them but look very good. The place is not so big and a lot of people come to this place so expect to wait around 30-45 min to be seated specially on cold days, although the wait is more than worth. We ordered the Spicy Naruto if you like spicy food this is a great option, they also offer, for extra charge, a super spicy bomb which you can throw in any ramen, but that's made of habanero and other hot chillis so if you are not used to a lot of spiciness, don't ask for it, and the Tori Man Ramen is made of chicken which is a good option for those who are not into spiciness which is very good as well. As appetizer we went for the Kakuni Bao which is basically a bun with pork belly, some veggies and a sauce a little spicy and it's very tasty, we liked it a lot.
Great food but be sure to go with tons of time and patience. The waitress is no real waitress but she is nice and we waited about an hour to get our food which is well warned in their blackboard. We really enjoyed the ramen, slider and music. We went on a Friday night, maybe it has shorter wait line on a weekday. Anyways it’s worth the time.
I loved this place. One bowl of there Ramen is enough to fill you up completely. They have a nice selection of Ramen and it is done when you order it. The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is due to some minor issues. One issue is the parking lot. Since this is a small location, there will not be much parking available. Another is the fact that they don't sell them to go. I understand that it is a Liability issue, but if you sell a great product, people will want to take some home for others to try it. The staff are excellent there. Very friendly and helpful. The woman at the counter was trying to explain to me how the Thailand Tea tastes and what it was made off. Since it was over 3 dollars, I didn't want to spend that amount on something I wasnt sure if I would like. So I respectfully declined and asked for 2 waters instead. I paid for my order and sat down. She came by our table and said she asked if it was ok for her to open a can just so we can try it out. They said yes and she brought 2 small plastic shot glasses filled with the tea. My wife ended up buying one when we left. So thank you to that woman working the counter this night. Some people might be put off with the concept of paying for your food before you even get it, but in other parts of the world, this practice is not uncommon. In conclusion, you must have an open mind and be willing to try this place. You will not regret the outcome. Please do head to this place and have some Ramen. In a town where there is an overabundance of fast food and Mexican restaurants, this is what Laredo sorely needs.
Looking for the best Ramen in town?! This is by far ahead of the curve! They dont offer carry out which is a bummer, but it is very well worth it when you dine in. I do wish that there schedule would change up, as they only open on certain days and from about 4-10 pm or so. But all in all the Ramen here is very delicious and well worth the wait.
The food and service was great!! The ramen I ate was the Kara-age and I would definitely get it again. The ramen noodles were perfectly cooked, the fried chicken was so good like I left a piece of it for the end and even though it was in the broth the whole time it didn't get soggy. The only thing I would recommend is not to go in separate cars as the parking spaces are very limited.
Ramen is fine but need more. Loud music plays in the background. Small options and no kids menu or option. I wanted it be as good as San Antonio ramen shops.
The owner is not only very professional but cares for customer comfort! The food was very tasty!Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
I been wating to come to katsumi forever! Everything was so welcoming the staffs were amazing! The ramen was pretty good. Would reccomend coming here again! The dishes we got was Spicy Naruto/ Naruto bowls and 5 dumplings! Thank you katsumi!
The broth for the pork belly ramen was to die for. I literally went back for every last spoonful. It's really filling so it's definitely worth every penny and they have it out to you in a good amount of time.
First time going here staff was very welcoming and friendly. Food was absolutely delicious. As an anime fan this is a dream come true. I'm glad to say I found my new favorite restaurant.
