My family has been training here for 5 1/2 years.  Coach Jerome is an excellent coach not just for the adults but for the kids as well starting at ages 4-Adult.  He has patience and truly cares about everyone and their journey to learn BJJ.  He understands everyone learns at different rates and in different ways and works with you to make sure you understand and are comfortable with what you are learning.  Coach supports many organizations that help out our veterans, domestic violence victims, autism awareness, anti bullying just to name a few which I feel shows his true caring attitude for people.  He makes sure everyone feels welcome and safe.   As a women and mother it is important to feel safe in a gym for myself and my children.  Everyone who trains here feels like family no matter if you have been here from the beginning or are just starting.    Highly recommend KatyBJJ.

Coach Jerome is a great coach who has a ton of patience and pays great attention to detail. I love the atmosphere of this gym. Fun, friendly, and CLEAN environment!

I ended up at Katy BJJ after researching and attending some other academies in the Katy area. I was looking for a team that was inviting and welcoming for my 5 year old son and myself to train Jiu Jitsu. Other schools in the area had failed to deliver on this, but my first day at Katy BJJ, I knew instantly that it was the place where we belonged. 

My son is extremely shy, so it was very important for me to find an instructor that would show him patience. Ben has been nothing short of amazing in the way he has taught not only my son, but all of the children under his instruction. The level of confidence my son has gained in a couple of short months is incredible. 

As for the adult classes, I couldn’t ask for a better group of people. Everyone has been extremely friendly and helpful. Every single person there has taken the time to teach me and help me progress. When you first start BJJ it can be a struggle as you aren’t familiar with the art, but I know that some day my Jiu Jitsu will be good simply because I have such a great team to train with day in and day out. A team that wants to see everyone succeed and better themselves. 

I feel extremely fortunate to have come across Katy BJJ and hope to spend my entire BJJ career here and earn my black belt under Ben’s guidance.  I hope this review helps persuade you to make the same life changing decision.

The atmosphere is amazing. Coach Ben is an great teacher who gives everyone the same respect no matter the skill level. The kids love him and just watching the class for 5 mins you will see the respect and care he gives them. The adult classes are very organized and whether your new to the class or been there for years each person is given attention and direction. Highly recommend for anyone looking to just experience or compete.
