Story

Katy Pharmacy is a family owned and operated Traditional, Specialty, and Compounding Pharmacy that started in 2008. We are Traditional because, like many chain pharmacies, we provide your Over the Counter medications, supplements, and traditional prescriptions. We are a Specialty, which means we carry certain medications and supplements that traditional pharmacies cannot carry, many of which you can order right here on this website. Finally, we are a Compounding pharmacy as well. This means that we formulate certain medications to fit the needs of our patients right here in the pharmacy.

Above all, we pride ourselves in the service we provide. Come in and experience it for yourself.

So I wanted to support a local pharmacy, and found this one close by. I refilled my daughter's medication a couple of times. I paid my deductibles the first time then 0 co-pay the following times. The insurance company (Cigna which drive me insane) had a glitch or something on their system and decided I needed to pay my deductibles one more time through a hospital bill. After a lot of calls and complaints, they told me that they will send this pharmacy a check and that I need to go get a refund from them. Pretty sleazy and idiotic solution, but anyway, I called the pharmacy and they tell me they haven't received any check from the insurance company. So long story short, after getting organizations involved the insurance company sent me a check with the money I paid, and they said they would follow up with the pharmacy. Through all of that, I'm mad at the insurance company and see myself and the pharmacy as victims. Before all that was resolved on my end, the new year had started and I was using another insurance company. My daughter needed another refill, so i called the pharmacy to get the refill and guess what? They decided to ban my daughter from getting medications from their pharmacy!!!! I will never support this place again. I don't understand who came up with this very wise idea, but seriously I will make sure to write a review on every platform available.

Service was quick, staff was personable, and the price was close to half of what grocery stores or Walgreens was charging for the same prescription. I'll be going here from now on.

The compound pharmacy is a BIG rip off. The employees don't know how to bill your insurance correctly. They tried to charge me over $200 for a compound RX, that cost me $40 at CVS. To make things worse, they couldn't have my Rx ready until Monday, "because it has to be mixed." How long does it take to mix 3 ingredients? I was there 30 minutes before they close & it was going to take 3 days to mix this compound Rx?
