The best delicatessen in central Ohio! Located in historic German Village, Katzinger’s has a variety of fresh baked bread, cheese, spreads, tinned fish, jams, and many other delicious high end snack foods. The real star of the show is their made-to-order sandwiches and sides! The corned beef is high quality, the slaw and Russian dressing is to die for, and the bread is so fresh. It’s hard to beat! Don’t forget to grab a free pickle on your way out ‍
What a great place to visit for an authentic pastrami sandwich and the most delicious pickled cucumbers We also had to try their coleslaw and it was so yummy Bread is fresh and tasty! And the employees are friendly and welcoming! Made us feel very cozy and warm with all the care and hospitality! This place is a great, historic, and unique opportunity to experience something that’s not so common is time of chain franchises and big companies. Authenticity. And locals love it!

A great Jewish deli. Don't forget to grab a giant dill pickle from the pickle barrel when you order your food. Love the knish.Food: 5/5
This was my first visit to Katzinger's Delicatessen, and it definitely won't be my last. The restaurant itself was a very nice place, if a bit small for how well known it is. We ordered a sandwich for each of us and a side of the potato salad. We were able to find a table while we waited, then after a short wait, got our food and went to eat at one of the local parks in the German Village. I got the Jack Does the Funky Chicken sandwich. The flavor was excellent, and I really liked the Honeycup Mustard they put on the sandwich. It did end up being a very messy sandwich, so make sure you grab plenty of napkins before digging into this one. The chicken was grilled perfectly and the toppings were fresh. I was very happy with the sandwich, and like I said, we will definitely be coming back for more.
ZOMFG yes yes 1000 times yes. I tour with shows and finding local gems is a lot of fun. I am from NYC, home of Katz, and Katzinger's matches them but are far better prices. I got the reuben one day and picked up the Bill Gary & Beuford's Uper Yough Reuben which has pastrami and both were top notch. My only... slight beef were the pickles. They could be more snappier with more of a bite but hey, they are free. The women behind the counter were friendly and helpful and the whole place smells gloriously of smoky meat goodness. If I had room in my bag I would have picked up a loaf of rye bread too from their shop area. If you're in Columbus, this is a must-go if you're a fan of classic Jewish deli food.
Just went to Katzinger’s for the first time, for an early lunch. As someone who went to college in NYC and has experienced the native delicatessen experience, all I can say is BRAVO. Everything was delicious, from the complimentary garlic pickle self-served from a barrel, no less to the massive sandwiches that my husband and I devoured. I got the #74 - Wross Left His Mark and my husband got the # 5 - Mimi’s Melody. I would highly recommend both of these delights. The bagel and bread our sandwiches were served on were out of this world and so was the tuna salad!. Our new goal is to try every sandwich on the menu - with our stomachs and determination and joy, I’m certain we will be able to. The place itself is honestly just adorable. I loved all the decor and, of course, the little delicatessen-style market area where you can purchase packaged items and homemade recipes by the pound. I was especially tickled to see both blintzes and latkes in the case. We’ll likely be back next week. Thank you, Katzinger’s, for making me cry tears of joy and nostalgia for NYC.
Wow what a find!!! A family friend recommended the deli to us to visit during our recentr business trip to Columbus. This is hands down a fantastic place to grab a bite!!! The menu is huge!!! The breads meats and cheese are all top notch. We enjoyed the pastrami corned beef and desserts. The key lime pie maybe the best I have ever had!!! Please give this eatery a visit. Your stomach will thank you for it later!!!
Very nice deli for all kinds of things. I got and Egg Salad platter with Potato latke and Key lime pie for dessert. Egg salad was creamy and tasty. The potato latke was a little soggy but had good flavor. The key lime pie was very mild in flavor but decent. I wish there was an option to not have the whipped cream on top as that's not my favorite but I would say decent but probably wouldn't get it again
All the years my sister has lived in Columbus and have driven past this and never stopped. That was a mistake! Went with my husband and dad for a late lunch today and we all agreed that our sandwiches were delicious. My dad and I got the Reuben and my husband got the #37 Ko and Shoogy Special which was similar to a Reuben but add turkey on pumpernickel instead of rye bread. The two pickles they had to sample out of the barrels were both good. Great mix of sodas, potato and pasta salads and desserts, cheeses and meats to go. Would love to try a loaf of fresh bread if we were in town longer. Great lunch! Would easily recommend to others!
