We gave been to Kelso before. Very beautiful experience. However, on weekends if you do not arrive early (11am - opening time for boating) be prepared to wait almost an hour to rent a canoe. Kayaks are also very popular and can be rented out already. You might need to wait even longer for a kayak. Trails are enjoyable with breathtaking cliffs and views. A bit too close to the highway though. You'll hear sounds of traffic more than of nature.

Went to the mountain biking trails at the top of Kelso. Attendant on duty in parking lot. Great trails through the forest to the top of the chair lifts. We took smaller kids age 7,8,9 and 13. They had no problem. Would recommend for a great afternoon

Went there over the weekend. It's a very nice place for every age group. However, the garbage bins next to the picnic tables were very stinky and filled with flies and wasps. Which made it hard to take even a bite in peace. Lunch was ruined since everyone had to run around to avoid the bees and wasps.

Great campground with a fun lake and trails. The train goes right through and it always wakes me up. The campsites down in the ravine (300s) seem more secluded with more trees and shade. The ones up top (100s) are flatter with more open space. The ones up top have more noise from the highway 401. The ones down below have more noise from the train. Most are good. Some campsites are situated behind others, so you might have to go through another site to get to yours (or have people walking through yours)

Beautifull panoramic views of the city and the park from the escarpment trail. A lot of things to discover and enjoy. If you are lucky, it is a wonderful thing to see the train crossing the park in the sunset with its light on and making that typical train sound. Excelent place for picnics.
