"Sad". My wife and I have been going here since the mid 80's and we loved it. Our recent trip in October 2017 was heartbreaking. A sign says the campground's operation has been taken over by the KM general store. The campground was filthy, in total disarray, a large portion of the trees had been cut down leaving a fraction of the cover that used to be there and it appears this was possibly done by private individuals raiding and pillaging the lumber rather than the Forest Service for some constructive reason......... Another great location suffers the effect of a degrading society.

Went up here alone for a "man retreat" years ago. Wonderful smell of sage! Very quiet. General store was nice. Paved road good for cycling.

I went to Kennedy Meadows 30 years ago on a harley. It is a beautiful place to camp .
