My neighbor was pistol whipped by a man that lived 2 stories below him. The police came, did NOT arrest the man, they did NOT take him from the scene, and they did NOT take the gun. The police stalled around for 3 months, jerking my neighbor around until finally he got a letter saying that, the police were not going to do anything. My neighbor is a white gay man who did nothing wrong. He tried to file a restraining order and the police "couldn't" get it passed. My neighbor has had the man and his friends try and break into his apartment, he has a scar, and has been harassed. The Kenneth City Police of Saint Petersburg FL are a compete joke!

Best Police force in the county.............The acting chief is by far the best that there is.......1 and a half square miles of quiet living. A police force that cares for its residents and businesses. keepp up the good work!!!!!

Kenneth City is a town with 4,400 residents and less than a square mile in land area; its city limits are equally tedious. Since there is no crime in KC (and the town refuses to contract law enforcement out to the county), the cops have nothing to do but patrol the two main streets in town. Well, two and a half. Since the town's boundaries are basically squiggly lines with no thought, the city only controls about a half a mile of the northbound lanes of 66th Street. Not to mention that the city has installed red-light cameras at almost all of their traffic lights, even at nonbusy residential intersections. I've never received a violation from the KCPD, but that doesn't mean that they're not out there. Driving through that place is like driving into a police state. I'm so nervous that I'll make even the most minor of infractions. Please, help put these guys out of business by sticking to the 35MPH speed limits.
