I write this review from the perspective of both a dental patient and as a retired periodontal and implant surgeon. I was referred to  Kerrville Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery because one of my molars was fractured and needed to be extracted, eventually to be replaced by a dental implant. Dr Lussier and his staff put me at ease immediately, treating me with professionalism from the moment I arrived until well after the visit was over. Serena greeted me at the front desk and welcomed me to the office, creating a great first impression. You just "know" you are in great hands at that moment. The office was very clean, organized and just exuded the quality you'd expect. Dr Lussier discussed the surgical procedure, and answered my questions. Dr Lussier sedated me, then he and his assistant Melinda surgically removed the fractured molar and placed a bone graft to restore the bone in the extraction site. Dr Lussier and his assistant Vicky checked on me within hours after surgery, and the next morning to ensure I was doing well. I had absolutely no pain or swelling at the extraction site. After healing, Dr Lussier will place a dental implant in the area where the tooth was removed, thus restoring my ability to chew on that side. The Kerrville Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery team delivered exceptional dental surgery with empathy and compassion, and made it look easy. For the patient, this team is a dream team. Professional, kind, and highly skilled. Never in my seventy years has any doctor or dentist treated me as well as this team did. They were a Godsend to us. My husband had two teeth broken at the gum line and was in incredible pain. They had no hesitation in taking him, even though we called about three p.m. An hour and a half later he was being operated on. He was very comfortable and well cared for and the pain quickly subsided. Thank you Dr. Jim and your fine team of caring professionals.

I write this review from the perspective of both a dental patient and as a retired periodontal and implant surgeon. This is a follow-up to a January 2017 review. In June 2017, Dr Lussier placed a dental implant in the area where he extracted a fractured molar five months ago. I was sedated and the implant was surgically placed in his office. The implant surgery was totally painless and I needed only an occasional Advil and or Tylenol for postoperative discomfort. A few months from now, the implant will be fitted with a crown thus restoring my ability to chew on that side of my mouth. On two occasions, Dr Lussier and the Kerrville Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery team delivered exceptional dental surgery with empathy and compassion, and made it look easy. I highly recommend Dr Lussier and his team for those seeking excellence in tooth extractions, dental implant placement as well as other advanced Oral-Maxillofacial Surgery Care. I am very pleased with the care and treatment I received from Dr. Lussier and his staff. Polite, caring and very professional. They take the time to listen to all of your concerns and then lay out a plan to take care of them. I would recommend them to anyone that might need their services.

Best oral surgeon ever! Dr.Lussier and his staff are the best! Awesome atmosphere, all so nice!! Had no problems after my extractions...Definitely recommending everyone here!! 5 star office!
