Let me describe the vibe so you’ll know if this place is for you instead of showing up and realizing you should’ve skipped on it altogether thus leaving a bad review. 1.This is a small family owned business that’s perfect for babies and toddlers up to 5 years of age. There’s a ton of interactive toys and imagination areas for small children. They also have 2 small water play stations outside, exactly how YOU would have them in your own backyard. It’s a SAFE, CLEAN, CHILL, Montessori type environment. 2. If you’re use to going to McDeez or a public park and letting your kids run free while you talk on your cell or scroll through social media for an hour or two, this is NOT the place for you. WHY? On the website it specifically says this is a place for PARENTS/CAREGIVERS to interact with their child. When you enter you will see a parent actively playing with their child NOT sitting in a corner expecting other parents to watch their child for them. 3. If your child is bursting with energy 25 hours a day, running around from one thing to another and might have more strength than they realize, this is NOT the place for you. WHY? Although this place is amazing, it’s BIG to SMALL children but in reality when you add 1-2 parents per child AND very small babies in the mix, it gets crowded easily. There is NO room for your child to run and possibly hurt another child or worse, a helpless baby. 4. Plan on buying socks from them on your first visit. This isn’t weird. Almost all indoor play places require this for child and adult safety. It’s a one time purchase. We simply wash, then re-use them. 5. Although water WITH A LID and of course formula and bottles for babies are allowed, they don’t allow food which in my opinion is GREAT! They already sanitize and clean all the time, they shouldn’t have to wheel in a power washer every day just so kids can leave crumbs and sticky handprints everywhere. Below are some suggestions for a successful visit: -Eat before you go or play first then take your child for a lovely stroll around the plaza and pick out a place to have a delicious snack. -Want something sweet? There’s an ice cream shop 3 feet away and a frozen yogurt shop in the same plaza. -Are you vegan/vegetarian? There’s a coffee shop about 20 feet away called Arcade and they have tons of options. -Are you on a budget or wanna use EBT? Kiddos 101 is located smack dab in between Ralph’s and Rite Aide, grab some snacks and eat outside on the millions of free benches and tables provided for shoppers. In conclusion, if you have a baby or toddler who is playful, kind, imaginative, and is aware of their surroundings and able to be gentle or at least willing to be when around others, this is the place for you! The staff is always helpful and they usually play Rockabye Baby which we love. The only thing I wish they would change would be the afternoon closing time from 12pm-2pm BACK TO 12pm-1pm instead. As the children in our community have grown, many have put their kids in preschool which is typically from 8am-12pm in our area. It would’ve been nice to bring them back to Kiddos 101 from 1pm on, but since they don’t open again till 2pm it really doesn’t make much sense especially if you have children ages 5+ that need to be picked up from elementary school at 2:30pm.
Better for babies and toddlers that aren’t active. Nice place tho. Just not a place to take if your child wants to really run and have physical fun. More quiet play.
Pros: -if you need to charge your phone they allow you to do so -allows you to come during session even if 1 hr late -takes walk ins -allows snacks -they do the waiver for you -staff is very friendly Cons: -1 bathroom and it was locked no one in there -they do not accept cash card only -must buy their socks to enter. -no food to buyseemed like as their display was empty however I didn't ask All in all my 2 yr old was entirely entertained the 2 hours we were there. And if I was in the neighborhood again I'd return.so I recommend.
I enjoy spending time with the kids here, the staff is friendly and fun. The play equipment and toys are always educational encourage and stimulate young minds. It's a relaxing place, with soothing instrumental music in the background.
Super cute space for toddlers. You can see them run around. It’s very inviting, softer music, and had a nice clean toys. They have books, puzzles, lots of sensory learning. Cute cloud lights and moons from the ceiling. My little is shy so we chose the afternoon as it was less busy. It’s a cute place to get littles out of the house.
My son loved it sooo much! It did get a little crowded towards the end of the day and some parents weren’t watching their older kids as they were running around like crazy and weren’t careful that there were babies like my son playing on the floor. That made me uncomfortable but other than that, my son had a great time playing.
This place is amazing and I should have written a review a long time ago!! I live in Texas now and still haven’t found an environment like this one for my young kids. It’s so unique and special!! Perfect size for intimate playtime and a relaxing vibe that encourages growth and mental development for the young ones. I loved it as a parent as well because I get overwhelmed at the big noisy play places and I’m always trying to keep track of my kids, but this place has the right idea and it’s perfect for an activity that you can repeat and repeat with your little ones and leave renewed and relaxed and happy to have shared quality time with each other. If you live in Riverside and have little ones please take advantage of the membership! It’s so worth it!! You’ll make priceless memories for you and your kids! We love kiddos 101!
Good location and lots of play options for many ages. A little busy for a Friday morning when we went, and the place is a bit small, but there was still plenty of time and lots to explore.
Attended a kid's party on a Saturday and it was great. Hosts brought in food and cake. A bit small in size for the party room and definitely best for kids under 5. But you can see your kids play from any spot so they can play Independently.
Indoor play center for ages 0 to 12. Playground set, but mostly really great pretend play toys. Our 3- year old loves it. Staff is wonderful. All equipment is very clean and we'll maintained. Also, but some of their socks.
