The new director is horrible. She is quickly destroying the good reputation the school has had for yrs. Great teachers are quitting so she can get cheaper help. Your children will suffer because of this director. Civil right lawyers have been contacted as has the labor board. Don't bring your child here. Rainbow station is outstanding as is The Goddard School.

We love the Summer Camp program.  The teachers work well with the children, and keep my husband and I informed about what is going on.  The field trips are interesting, and our daughter enjoys the weekly trips to Carowinds that the Senior campers go on.  I also appreciate the limits for tech time, the reading program, and the effots to keep the children academically engaged over the summer.

Our sons have been attending Kids R Kids Matthews for almost 5 years now and we are completely happy with our experience. My eldest son was beyond prepared for kindergarten and was even reading before graduating from KRK. Our youngest son is so excited about going to school  he will pull me down the hall in a hurry to his classroom to see his teachers and friends. With a food allergy, they have gone above and beyond to make sure his food is prepared carefully each day and safe for him to eat.

IF there's an option to pick -0- star, then that's what I refer to with this one star rating.

This is absolute case of what's wrong with child care business in today's environment; Trust me when i say this as I just got my kid out of this establishment after enduring their money making techniques for past 1+ year. 
lets start with: DO NOT SEND YOUR KID TO THIS SPECIFIC location; there are many Kids R Kids in city and run in franchise (so if you hear good word about this brand, it's location specific). We got conned same way initially and ended up having my kid surrounded by sub par or inadequate providers & all the possible ways their management can think to extort money from parents. 
Dont mistake their advertised bell's and whistles as component of service quality they claim. They are no different than puppymill style daycare which are dime a dozen making their whole goal to get as much money as they could.

I have a long list of what we observed as parents for almost 2 year of excruciating experience for my kid. he is brilliant and energetic kid which is really get dumbed down by this establishment as they NOR have qualified providers or nourishing environment. The most effective workforce are what they hire as 'help' and unfortunately they rotate or go in/out on rolling bases. My kid had hard time adjusting and still to date cry when being left there (there's one young individual in class who worked hard to make him feel warm and comfortable and for that we were always appreciated for her help), but main providers....they are simply incompetent. The whole persona is pretty trashy and no personality what so ever. kids are supervised per state minimum requirement, they suppose to have a tenured care taker and help but they winged the whole spring without having one and running the class by auxiliary helper and another temp helper. 

the pictures, webcam view and daily report means nothing if your kid is not getting a proper learning environment and that's what we observed. off course you can flash your $$ to greedy owner and they can promise something extra but that's all of that. 
the awful policies they have made to extort money from parents are ridiculous; I intent to raise it fully with Kids R Kids corporate and this review is one minor attempt (amongst many) to warn and inform parents about making a better and educated decision for their kid's mental and health development as well as astute use of their hard earned money. 

Dont get me wrong, there are indeed some KidsRKids which have better & qualified staff, nurturing environment and a management which is understanding of parent needs rather gouging money. 

I'll update this on as many social media platform as I could to spread the word, but again, Look around for better option. for the price you are being quoted for your child care, there's FAR FAR BETTER option in area; dont let these owners of krk franchise con you the way they did it to us.

As a parent who has two little girls, ages 2 & 3, at Kids R Kids and soon to be baby boy :)  I honestly can not speak highly enough of this illustrious school.  Many of the teachers and staff have their own children here, as well as the owners, it's a wonderful feeling they promote throughout the school.  I'm also impressed with the other parents and how everyone is actively involved with the school and the children.

Kids R Kids also has Chef Sam who is a brilliant cook!  Everything is freshly prepared for the children and parents are welcomed to eat breakfast with their child if they like.  The State mandates that fruit must be served to the children but many facilities circumvent this by serving juice....not here.  Kid R Kids always has fresh fruit for the kids.

As to having some issues getting tours, etc. at the school I would recommend patience.  When my wife and I toured we called well in advance, set up a time to tour and off we went :)

I also would caution associating a polished, educated, well spoken staff/management as aloof or absent minded, particularly after only one meeting.  My wife and I have been involved with Kids R Kids for years and I can assure you that we have always been treated wonderfully.
