I was very impressed with the sushi and drinks! It was my first time. We went for a friend’s birthday and couldn’t be happier with the service staff. Noe was very attentive and bringing us all the tasty Killer Margaritas and Gin Fizzes we needed. The blue crab hand roll was TO DIE FOR! I could’ve eaten a bunch of those and would’ve been happy as a clam. We also enjoyed the caterpillar and Honu roll. You must eat here! I highly recommend!
The food was amazing. My friends and I ordered at least 5 different rolls and we loved them. I can’t wait to go back, sit outside, and enjoy the nice view!
The atmosphere is awesome... But there is a 20% tip automatically included in the bill regardless of party size and the wait staff is obviously aware that they do not need to work for a tip. As for the food, the sushi rolls are definitely on par with your local gas station sushi. They are not dressed up or presented in an appealing way. The taste of the sushi is bland at best. I was really hoping for a great experience due to the awesome atmosphere, but that's not what happened.
I really had high expectations about this place since it was right on the water of the Marina next to TWO Hilton properties. Walked in and not much of a greeting and had plenty of opportunities to sit anywhere, chose outside. Only one other customer, slow night I guess. Ordered and sushi brought out in a timely fashion. NO check as to how everything was. How about a refill on the iced tea? Mandatory "service fee" no wonder why service slow, no reason to work for it since they sneak 20% on the bill. Complained about the service fee and the server laughed it off... I will NOT return and will NOT recommend this place. Sushi just as good with great service close by so NO NEED TO EVER DINE HERE. Told the hotel staff and they agreed to take off recommended list. The service, or lack of combine with the service fee earns them 1 little star.
Will not do special orders. No substitutions No additions without a large extra charge. No oysters no Uni. Anything you ask for extra charge. They charge 9 dollars for two piece nigiri. The staff is very rude to its own trainees. Serious attitude problems. Automatic tipping without asking permission WHICH IS ILLEGAL! Do not recommend.
Very good sushi and the staff and waiters were exceptional. We visited with 2 infants and they prepared a special vegetable dish for the infants and asked the parents what was the best way to cook it in order to be safe for the babies. Friendly and thoughtful the whole time. Truly great service!
Horrible service, awkward waiters/waitresses, weird ambiance. First off, I really wanted to like this place. It's located right along the marina and very close to my home. When we got seated, it took about 10 minutes for someone to get us waters. A few of the waiters were super awkward, like it was their first time as servers. Anyway, they took our order and made so many mistakes. We had to keep asking for things and also ended up canceling some items because we never received them. Food was WAY overpriced. I know sushi can be pricey, but if you're going to charge that much it better be legit, and trust me it wasn't. They also automatically add on a 20% gratuity. I don't mind doing 20% if the service was good, but it was far from it. I would never come back!
For over $120 this place just wasn’t worth it. We walked in at 7pm on a Friday night and noticed that is wasn’t very busy and thought that it was odd. What was even more odd is that we waited at the hostess stand for a long time and no one greeted us and then after 5-10 minutes someone finally approached us and said that it was open seating weird. Then after we chose our seats it was another 10 minutes until we got service and our server said “sorry I didn’t see you”. We almost walked out before that and we wished that we would have. Three servers later we finally ordered and it was just okay. For saki, edamame, three rolls and hardly any service $120 was just too much. And to top it off we were greeted with an automatic 20% service charge that was so not deserved. Save your money and go anywhere else for better sushi and service.
We went there for a friends bday party and had most of the sushi menu. Every single dish was amazing! The fish is very fresh, right off the boats in the Marina. It melts in your mouth. The drinks are also delicious! Sit outside for a view of the boats and the marina. This place is new and should be packed but isn’t yet. Killer sushi, drinks and staff! I highly recommend.
We 3 hungry guys arrived at opening time , 4:00 yesterday….Wednesday. As soon as we stepped into the beautifully designed space we were greeted by very polite servers and managers who genuinely seemed very happy to see us. We found our way outside and sat down at one of the beautiful teak tables with comfortable chairs. Bam, no waiting the first of many servers was there to take our drink orders. Hot sake cold is more traditional Japanese and Sapporo for the two of us and bottled water for the non drinker. We both covered the bases with the two and then a second round later. I will not go over the whole journey describing all the lovely dishes available. Just start out with the best miso soup I’ve ever had. I suggest getting there early if you want to spend some time exploring all those specialities. Relax and enjoy the moment with that lovely, soft breeze in the covered patio. The view is fantastic. Also if you have room try the crème brûlée desert…try it even if you don’t have room. Expect to happily waddle out if you eat as much as we did. Again, I must say the staff could not have been better and so efficient. One of the managers named Brett came by the table to make sure everything was top notch…thank you Brett. Our experience was Killer!!!
