I would give this place a higher rating but with the pets walking around and the flies, I'm forced to believe the place is not sanitary. I thought it was me at first. I have gone here bi-weekly since June and a few times I have been told by staff I am unable to request a specific tech because they are all good.  My manicures and pedicures last but the services are rushed and I have noticed an increase in fruit flies and flies in general. Yesterday, I couldn't even enjoy my wine or pedicure for fighting the bugs. I hadn't finished my wine and my tech took it and put it above the sink where you wash your hands. I noticed a line of used wine glasses, some with the remainder of customers' wine still left in them accompanied by a colony of insects. I was sick because it made me wonder where the leftover wine goes.

They do great nail work. Take their time and don't do a rush job at all! Even offered me the latest styles and helped me keep my color contrast perfect.

"They are  friendly and don't exhibit some of the negative behaviors of other salons (excessive talking, etc). I felt prices were very reasonable and I will be back."- this was my original review, after multiple times of being told they were too busy, I have decided to take my business elsewhere.

I have gone here several times and had a good experience. But after my experience today I had to write a review. I had a taller Asian man, he did my pedicure and gel manicure. He didnt ask me what kind of pedicure I wanted like they usually do. He took off my existing nail polish and then all he did was like a 15 second massage with plastic gloves on. When I asked him to please put on lotion or something because it was uncomfortable he said no....so he just rubbed my legs with bare plastic gloves...not relaxing at all to say the least. Same thing happened with the gel manicure. He needs to improve his manicure/pedicure skills and thoroughness to be up to par with everyone else who works there. I will just go to another nail place in Fed Hill next time.

Kim's is definitely the popular place for manis, pedis, and all things spa. Waxing is super quick and thorough, and nail care is exceptional. The spa gets busy around 5pm and on weekends, but usually the wait is not more than 10 minutes.
