About

The Kimball Art Center is free and open to the public year-round, furthering access to the visual arts for the entire community.

Art Starts Here™.

Story

KAC has been a pillar of our art community since 1976 when Bill Kimball humbly started the center in an old garage. As the Park City community has evolved through the years, KAC has mirrored its change, evolving into a world-class community art center and the city’s cultural hub. Admission to our museum to see world-class exhibitions has remained free since day one. Exhibitions provide local access to nationally renowned artists and works and include quarterly Art Talks and Gallery Tours. We also provide over 300 visual art classes to youth and adults each year, including welding, encaustic, painting, drawing, photography, stained glass and more in our studios. Our Arts Education Program partners with K-12 schools and bridges a critical gap to provide immersive and quality art classes to youth who would not receive an arts education in their school without our programming.

Mission

Kimball Art Center inspires and connects through art.

Products

In addition to serving as a cultural hub for Park City through education, exhibitions and events, the Kimball is also home to Park City's only carrier of professional art supplies in our Gift Shop, located at the entrance of our Main Gallery.

In addition, Karleen's Uptown Fare will be opening at the new Kimball Art Center in April of 2016.

Very friendly staff who answered all of my questions about the artists exhibit. For a free exhibit it was very enjoyable.

I was just trying to access their website and there secondary website for details about the Kimball Arts Festival and neither are working! It's a real disappointment because as a Park City local with family in town, we all were hoping to visit this evening, but are going to pass and go for dinner, as we can't find any information. It's a real failure by the entire management team at Kimball, but especially by their Marketing Manager - what a joke and I'm sorry to say it, but it's the truth. Am I asking too much for live info on the eve of their opening??? My wife is a big supporter of the KAC, but it's continuing to look like poor management and I'm thinking of moving our patronage elsewhere, where it'll be appreciated and managed to promote our great town.

We spent a great 45 minutes looking at the very well-designed exhibit on clocks. It sounds like it might not be interesting, but it was beautifully done. The staff was very kind and welcoming. It is a $5 suggested donation, which we gave happily. It's small, but very worth-while. There is a great little coffee shop adjacent to the art center that has a great ambiance.

I have volunteered here a few times and put my son in some of their art classes, and I love what they do. They are great people and they have a great variety of classes. I plan to do some classes myself after seeing the things they offer!

I donated $10.00 upon entering for my wife and I, which was very reasonable. I was very disappointed with the galleries. One upstairs was in progress and not ready to view and the downstairs was "street art" only it was painted on canvases and plastic toy trains it was pretty sad.. I really enjoy great street art only this was not street art it was tagged toys and posters??? the center felt empty with very little to see it took about 5 minutes to walk through the whole center. I think they should have invested less money into the downtown location and more into providing the public with real art galleries... Hope things improve very disappointing
