The line was slow and it took me about 25 minutes to finally reach the ordering window so that I can place my order, however the pick up time for my order was less then 6 minutes which is pretty quick for this restaurant. They need to be quicker on their ordering line, as not every one gets a 1 hour lunch but on the plus side though, they seem to be less expensive then buying similar food off a food truck on York Blvd in Highland Park so it was worth it. 3 star rating changed to 4 stars!. If they can make the line to orde food faster I will give them a 5 star rating. Update: 7/21/2022 took 45 minutes to order my food today and an additional 21 minutes to get my food handed to me. This time there was only 1 cook working as fast as he could to prep the orders and one person bagging the food as well as trying to take orders. I honestly feel bad for them. They need to higher more employees to help the ones that are already working here. The star rating had to be changed to 3 stars.
Had to wait in line to order, it wasn't long but they were moving very slow. Got a variety of tacos hard to tell what's what when they come out on a plate but all were unremarkable. Tacos are double store bought tortillas with meat and a tiny sprinkle of onion/cilantro mix. Salsa is on the side. The green salsa was the best part of the meal, it happens.
The Food was delicious! My order came out quick and fresh. I had one Al Pastor Taco and one chicken and Green Chili Tamale. The Tamale was the best non-homemade I've ever had.
Listen, I'm no taco expert, but I am an experienced taco enthusiast. If you want what I would call the prototypical version of an LA Mex style taco, this is your spot. I found this one randomly because of where I was working. I happily discover this is some LA legend/local type spot and I'm at the original location hence the plaque to the late founder RIP We ordered a lot because I got carried away. It didn't matter. It was all delicious. The Al Pastor was definitely good, I hear it's a thing. Also chicken burrito and Carne asada tacos were great. Judging from the pictures and stuff I didn't order from the menu, I barely scratched the surface. If you see a Taco King, stop in and pay his highness a visit.
Love the food, first time coming to this branch but the taste is always amazing. They need a tv on the dining room and maybe some music.Food: 5/5
Great Mexican food. The soup was amazing... How did they get the brisket so tender???? Salsa was amazingly good... Just enough spicy taste to it. Tacos are small in portion but also a must try.
The food is very good and that kind of fast they don't make you wait too long to serve your order
This place reminds me of my grandmother's cooking!!! I have already been back again I ordered Carne Asada Sopes and Horchata! The homemade salsa is pretty good to. I'm so glad I found an authentic Mexican Restaurant!! There were also quite a few people here from the Dodgers game since it's located near Dodger Stadium!
1st time here and it was the best experience. chimichanga burrito was bomb as hell, i was just confused about the entrances it had... it is small but the food is good.. Will be coming back soon
Tacos were really good. Lots of variety. Wrapped well such that they weren't soggy when eating 15 min later. Would stay away from the Nahos.
