You no need to sit in the traffic for long time. Instead just sleep or read a book. Plenty of parking. And have lot of buses during peak time.

Good bus service but not as conveniently located with direct freeway access as some other P&Rs.

Metro takes you all the way downtown for $4.50 (as of July 2016). If you wait at the southwest corner of the pavilion, people participate in a rideshare community. Just wait a few minutes for a fellow commuter to stop and pick up a second passenger and you get to ride for downtown for free. The driver benefits as they don't have to pay $7 for the toll. Generally they follow the route and drop you at your regular stop. Or sometimes drivers are nice enough to detour to your building.

One of the biggest problems in Houston is Public Transportation. This park and ride serves a big area. The buses going downtown are easy to take from here. Now you can use the metro app to buy your tickets, is easy and fast.
