We have used Kirby Kerns Contractors for a number of roofing projects over the years.     Most recently we had a new roof installed to include sky lights and gutter leaf guards.    I am very happy with the workmanship and with the customer service.    We will use them again.

Unprofessional. Borderline harasser. Poor communication. I could go on. Mr. Kerns came and gave us a quote. He was acting all buddy-buddy, even talking friendly to the kids initially - but that would soon change. I was getting pricing for a fireplace flute that was leaking and some siding repair. I thought the pricing was a tad high ($275), but it was an emergency and the siding repair would be done later (unspecified date). The employee showed up and was literally done within 15 minutes. Up and down. Later on the phone, I mentioned I was concerned with the time/rate of the project and that I was now reconsidering the the other project. Kerns didn't like this and he went OFF on a 30 minute diatribe about...blah blah blah - the perils of running a business. He challenged me to find a better quote. Complained about "not everyone will get on a roof." Complained about built-in costs of housing material. Travel times. I have never quite seen anything like it. Several weeks later my wife got a call from the office that they were coming to finish the chimney job...well they wound up completing the siding job without our approval. By this point some financial issues had come up and my wife tried to work out with the office a payment schedule. Apparenetly Kerns didn't like this either. He called up my preganant wife and berated her over the phone until she couldn't take it anymore and hung up. When he shows up to give you a quote and is buddy-buddy, don't buy it.

Very quick to answer the phone, and very cheerful and friendly receptionist. I called for a gutter cleaning and was told they were 2 weeks out and I would be contacted when they were ready. The next morning just before 7am they called and woke up my wife and son to say they would be out that day. Despite the early call I was pleased they weren't two weeks out. Unfortunately they never showed up that day and no one bothered to tell us why or when they would be out. I had to call the office to find out they had rescheduled. I don't give business to companies who don't keep schedules so I cancelled. I cannot vouch for their work, but they need to work on their communication and scheduling.

This company would never get a 5 start rating. Go check yelp as well.
