KCP is a wonderful co-operative preschool that is celebrating our 65th Anniversary this year. We strongly believe that education is a family process and that children learn best through creative play.
At Kirkland Co-operative Preschool (KCP) we feel that education is a family process. Children and their parents both benefit from our cooperative learning environment.
Our children learn through creative play, becoming chefs, dancers, scientists, storytellers, woodworkers, musicians, paleontologists, and artists as they combine activity and discovery with imagination.
Against a backdrop of activity and toys, KCP offers three age-appropriate classes for preschool children and their parents. Parents learn side by side with their children through involvement in their children's education. Monthly parent education meetings cover topics such as self-esteem, sibling relations, learning development, or boundaries, and allow parents to share concerns and ideas.
