The club did a good job with the pro shop being helpful, yardage books and the ability to book online as a solo golfer were all pluses. Unfortunatly the condition of the course undermines that effort because it is really struggling in areas. The greens were all in good condition and ran well. The fairways on some holes were non existent and need alot of work to restore them to some sort of playability, some holes were much better than others. The tee boxes in most areas needed alot of work and make the course seem messy. Bunkers were essentially waste areas, they fit that description much better. The price is reflective of all of this, and it's as cheap as you'll find 18 holes but you'll honestly enjoy your golf better spending an extra 10 or 15 dollars on a course in better condition. Has potential, but as of now is not worth a return visit.
When I read recent reviews of this course I was expecting something that might resemble an apocalyptic landscape with massive over growth and nothing resembling a golf course. While it's not Pebble Beach or Augusta, it us a course that challenges you and is playable. The starter was pleasant, the clubhouse was spacious and well taken of and the greens were decent. The biggest negatives are tee boxes in great need of maintenance and markings, poorly maintained bunkers and cart paths. The greens are decent and the.layout was chalkenging. And don't be scared off by the horrid review of hole #7. It's nothing to worry about. The reviewer must have lost his pacifier on hole #6. In short, I've played worse courses and I expect to return for future loops.
Played there back on December 22nd, 2022 during an early morning monsoon. Staff during the rain delay, well they were awesome. Back 9 really needs a tree trimming to remove those that "obstruct" a reasonable tee shot and approach to the green. Greens are receptive and in good shape. Tee boxes need some help. Great value though!
It seems that this is a course that needs a lot of TLC, as missing the fairway meant finding your ball in brutal rough became a bit of a lottery. There are also a lot of very sandy tees. The shame is that this is a course with a lot of nice holes, and the greens generally were running nicely. Playing here a few days after tropical storm Nicole, I imagine that a lot of the course has been too soft to maintain, but I'm not sure that's the whole story. There are a few holes that are fairly tight, and the 7th has little or no guidance on where the fairway is from the tee. I aimed at the tree and the white building and that seemed to work. The greens are on the smaller side. This is one of the cheapest courses that's within 30/40 minutes of Disney, and you definitely get what you pay for.
One of the worst courses we have ever played. Washrooms in club house smell and are dirty, the one on the course is disgusting. Some of the T box’s are just an pile of sand and the cart paths are not much more than a series of pot holes and tree roots. The water hazards are full of garbage and the sand traps are hard with no rakes. We were over 2 1/2 hours to do the first 9 waiting for every hit.
Most of the tee boxes are mainly sand, greens were rough and fallen trees not cleaned up. Appears there is very little maintenance on the entire course. Definitely would not recommend at $45.
This is so sad. Totally neglected course. The tee boxes are none existent, the fairways are poor and don’t go off the fairways or your ball is lost forever! On the plus side the greens are true and fair. Will not play there again.
Wish i could not even leave a star. 32 dollars for a course is still WAY to expensive for this. Im still playing and making this review. The rough might as well be 6inches tall, and right next to the fairway might as well be 6inchess as well. The greens are meh at best, and hole 7 is literally an insurance scandal. Stay away.
If you want the best deal in the State the Oaks is for you! It's a wonderful place to see lots of Florida wildlife. They also have the friendliest staff in the State too.
Called Oaks National to book tee times and rent ladies left handed clubs. I asked attendant twice “your sure you have ladies left handed clubs?” Yes! So 3 days later we arrive for our tee time to be told they have no ladies left handed clubs and never did ! I was told by whoever hides in the side office that I should learn to shoot right handed. Needless to say his humour didn’t impress me. That’s twice we’ve booked at this club to be told yes they can accommodate to show up and be told otherwise.
