A do-able hike for smaller human tag-alongs though a good trek back up, be warned! Plenty of clams, oysters, and sea asparagus on the beach if you have your shellfish & seaweed license. Also plenty of evergreen Huckleberry to forage for, in August/September making for nice berry picking breaks to catch your breath as you climb. Great views across the water. May have to check out the beach rental at the bottom..

Overall the park is very pretty, but the parking lot holds only about 10 cars and the trails are narrow and kind of steep for little kids. It's a nice little trail to wander over the course of about an hour or two.

A really cute little park. There isn't much, but the hike is totally worth it for a peaceful, quiet little spot. Be warned though, it's a long way down, so you have to hike back up.

Beautiful rock beach, relatively short (2 mile round trip), moderate, somewhat steep hike through dense woods. Eagles, seals, beautiful mountain views, and blissful quiet.

You have got to check out the stump house.  There's also a Champion maple tree in that park.
One hot summer day a couple years ago I was walking along the train and there were tons of baby snakes basking in the sun.  Freaked me out.
Also, every year the trails are jacked up  because the beavers keep building their dams and the water washes out the trails.
Lots of real life nature going on here.
