For a K-Mart, this is one of the more decent stores I've ever seen -- but that's not saying much. It can be one of the more affordable places to get certain basics in South Lake, but be careful to compare prices because on some items, they seem to charge more than normal; it's strange, and there doesn't really seem to be much rhyme or reason to their pricing strategy. Sometimes you'll find what you need here at a bargain price, and other times you walk out going, "I can't believe they want $XX for that! I'll drive to Carson City or Reno!" I also agree with other reviewers that the staff here seem pretty unhelpful and miserable.

I wish we had more options up here, so of to Kmart we go and it's nearly always a frustrating experience. The employees complain, they aren't trained and just don't know what to do so the customers are always angry which just makes their jobs harder. Kmart has good basic stuff, but the experience is just awful. I do all I can to avoid it.

Employees were either irritble or high. Alot of the selections were open gaps in space. Definitely not returning.

Overcharged for a product to which the cashier told me that I had to go to customer service which I waited for 10 minutes and no one helped me. Someone shouted "Oh she's in the dressing room" and that was it. Ended up leaving because I'm not waiting. Will never come here again and I'm pretty sure that's why you're going out of business.

So sad- it's run down, no associates we encountered smiled or checked if we needed anything, and everything we looked at had been quite a bit cheaper across the street at Big 5.
