They run on time and hot/cold periods are uniform. Officers are attentive and professional without the yelling and arcane personality injections experienced at the “other” outdoor rifle range in Manatee Co. prices are fair and facility is in outstanding condition. The best outdoor range I have been to in Florida.

Great shooting range. Recently had a lot of work done to increase safety. Plenty of room for distances all the way out to 100 yards.

Came down to Nokomis, FL from Chicago to visit my dad this weekend, we went and shot today. Nice range we don't have anything as nice as this one in Illinois, however when I lived in Vegas the Clark County Shooting range beats this place. So anyway we had been shooting in the 25 yard lanes and I moved down to the 12yard lanes. The range officer nice older guy from NY I think told me to point the gun up. I thought wait from being a little kid we are all shown to point a gun down. I don't think he's heard of laws of physics or law of gravity What goes up must come down. He said if the gun goes off the round will go into the roof and I'm guessing through the roof and land on someone's car coming down 40 ft away. That whole carrying a gun thing doesn't pass the comin sense test but I guess it's policy or for insurance reasons. 

Other then that it's not bad paid $25 for the both of us for all day. It's not bad, not many people there on Mother's Day weekend. But I will be going back on the next visit down here.

Most of the staff is nice.  Clean place.  However, there was one range officer who was so rude I'm tempted to leave a one star.  He had a disgusting anger and temper issue.  He really shouldn't be allowed to work or volunteer for the county, especially at a gun range.  Older guy with facial hair, avoid him at if you can.
