Cool little humble place, my 3 kids & I really liked it. Good food, friendly and Fun!
Very poor experience. There were 4 adults and one child and as soon as we walked in, there seemed to be some confusion on where to sit us. One lady the one who wears a mask but it’s pulled down to her chin - why bother wearing one then? sat us at the table with the big fam for hibachi. As we started ordering, only one person in our group wanted hibachi and asked the others to sit apart at another table. apparently all of us had to order it and this was NOT mentioned in the menu nor upon us entering the restaurant. If it was mentioned prior to ordering or when we entered the restaurant that would have been fine. We ended up speaking to her in Chinese and she did apologize, however, after we had our sushi 6 pieces she came back and asked us if we wanted anything else, clearly she forgotten to put the rest of our order in. When one of our party went up to ask she said it’s coming. We had a fried noodle coming which comes with salad and soup which should have arrived with our fried calamari as an appetizer but it didn’t so that shows she clearly had JUST put the order in. There was a party of four that did not order any hibachi and were seated at the hibachi table. I saw because I was right in front of them. when the fried noodles came it was just chicken and noodles with soya sauce which took 3 minutes to cook! A terrible experience and will never patron again. We’ve been at the restaurant for nearly 1.5 hours and counting…
We had the hibachi. It was excellent. Service was friendly. The cook was friendly, funny and professional. Great tasting food. Kid friendly. Great drinks as well.
My first experience here was amazing and now I've been coming here ever since, friendly and funny cooks, very entertaining watching the food being prepared in front of you. Plus the food is amazing and I love their piña colada!
Officially an hour in without the hibachi chef coming to our table despite us having a reservation. Seem like they only have one chef in the restaurant, yet they continue to seat more tables.
Good for family, and a stop for food. Worth stopping by with friends, for a good time!!!!! Love the staff!!!!!!
Hibachi is their specialty. When I arrived, I was shocked to see the place was nearly empty. They have five hibachi tables and only one was occupied at dinner. They have a small bar and one single table for those not seeking hibachi dinner. Not sure if I could just join a group if a grill was not fully occupied? And the music was decidedly not traditional, but rather pop. Hmmmm. Ordered my normal miso and edamame as an appetizer. Just water to drink, as is custom in Japan. The miso was watery, needing more soy bean paste. It looked like it was made from an instant packet, but I’d expect it to taste more rich. Since I make this dish at home myself, I’ll just say I’d rather eat it at home. The edamame was done properly, hot and lightly salted. When my sushi arrived, I was initially less than pleased with the portion size of the sashimi, but then remembered I ordered the 18 piece combo and they probably do sample sizes. Still, sashimi should be bigger. The fish was fresh and not just basic selections, although not terribly exotic. I think the crab sticks were what brought this down a star. Those are about as far from sashimi as it could get. Watching two hibachi tables working was fun to see. They enjoy their entertainment work and the customers enjoyed being part of the action. They will flip food into your mouth if you let them. Fun! Overall, not bad, just a few small things that make it more American than Japanese, but I’m sure it’ll be satisfying for any sushi fan to enjoy.
It was ok, the place looks like they haven't been taking care off it, sushi was really small like a 5 piece, it tasted great I just wish their portions could be like s regular sushi size.
Ordered 3 rolls & 4 pieces of sushi, and a fried soft shell crab. It was over $80 and I figured why not, special treat. Website pre added an $11 tip I did not notice till after it was finalized rather do cash not on card it was mediocre at best. Rolls are rather small for $17 a piece and they’re nothing special.
Had hair in two of the plates I ordered. My daughter pulled the hair out of her mouth and threw it on the floor . Which ok it happens sometimes but when I called the waitress over to tell her she started looking for it on the floor asking my kids to describe it. Like really ?! Then goes and gets the chef to come out and tell me there’s no way because he doesn’t have hair. Like I was lying ! Will never come here again
