Roy Kolas sold bibles from his home in 1947 then founded the Kolas Bookstore in Hammond in 1950. Relocated to Highland the family continues his legacy.

Kolas Christian Bookstore was started over 60 years ago with Roy Kolas selling books and Sunday School material from his home. Now the business has been passed on to Sherri Vandersteen (Kolas) his daughter.

Amazing customer service and great selection. The reading corner with chairs and tables to read is nice and they always try to answer any questions you have even about gifts. Cute little bookstore and gift shop found all my Christmas gifts and ordered some things that will be in within the week! Will be back again for events and more shopping!!

Great place for Sunday School books and bible studies. Have every type of bible and lesson books for different churches. They are going to pack my books for the church so we don’t have to come in and they do it all the time and knew which two books I wanted.

WOW! OMG! I went to Kolas searching for a book and I came out with so much more. First there is such a friendly, loving and anointed spirit amongst the people who work there. This store has everything you can name from Christian books to novelties. Wonderful jewelry and much more. In my opinion they have very affordable prices to really fit seemingly anyone's budget. I also received a calender with all of their monthly activities, from women group and men group bible study to their book club. I was most impressed with tonight's meeting led by Gene Caulderon of Ratio Christi organization, held for the young people, learning about the truths of Christianity. The young people were so encouraged to be open, vulnerable and transparent as they asked questions and expressed their interest and curiosity of the Christian Faith and in their choice to be a Christian amongst their peers. I could go on and on, it was such an informative meeting. I am so grateful that I was invited to stay and observe such a wonderful meeting. I look forward to participating in future meetings and other activities. I am overwhelmed with joy and so grateful that God led me to Kolas Christian Book Store.
