My 2y old cries at every DR visit. At this place,  they had my son laughing and smiling the entire time- surprised me! He cried once- when we had to leave, and for the rest of the week wanted to know if he was going back to see the dentist. They were packed with patients, and I still didn't wait too long. Everyone​ was very professional and helpful. I am so appreciative that they made the experience completely stress free! I highly recommend this place- it will be the only place I take my son.

My 3 year old child is developmentally delayed and he is also non verbal so he screams a whole lot. At the Gentilly location they treated us so nice and i couldn't thank them enough for being so patient and kind to my son. I really loved their attitudes, even the younger assistants.

Streamline your paperwork. Notify changes BEFORE the appointment date.  Hire an anesthesiologist because you're not going to torture my baby. Offer sealants and REAL preventative care.

Friendly staff and very attentive, answers all your questions. Makes the kids feel extremely safe and its more of a fun environment for them.

Disappointing and dangerous. 

On Saturday, June 3, I called to inquire about having an abscessed tooth examined and getting an antibiotic prescription and I was told that I would be accepted as a walk-in patient if I could arrive by 12:00 pm. I arrived at ~11:38 am, two hours and twenty-two minutes before closing. The receptionist and assistant staff were very courteous, professional and helpful. However, I did overhear one assistant instructing a receptionist that she should refer patients with my condition to an emergency room instead of accepting them at Kool Smiles.

Immediately upon my initial contact with Dr, Cordova, it became clear from whom those instructions came. Her demeanor was unwelcoming, at best. Her examination was cursory. And, my request for an antibiotic prescription was neglected. Although her assistant instructed me to wait an hour to have it filled, the prescription was never written. I learned this only when I went to fill the prescription at Walgreen's.

I would like to know exactly which positive health outcomes were expected to be achieved by not writing this prescription. Would it not have been more professional, more considerate, and even more mature, to simply inform a patient that a request for a prescription either could or would not be filled?

All this while the video monitor into the waiting room played a loop of vignettes portraying just how compassionate Kool Smiles' dentists are to patients' circumstances and just how committed they are to patients' health.
