I've visited this establishment earlier today to buy a pack of cigarettes. The guy behind the counter of course carded me, since I do appear young looking. I am going to be 30 years old in just a few weeks. The gentlemen behind the counter gave me an extremely hard time with my ID. He asked me "are you sure this is you?" I said "yes, I am sure". He didn't believe me. He asked if I had any other ID's with my picture and name. I told him "no, but I have a couple CC's with my name on them". He then turned to a waiting customer, gave her my ID and asked "does this look like her?" And the customer said "yes, that's her. You can tell by her smile". Now, like I've stated above, I know I appear young looking, but I had a valid CT picture drivers license that I handed to him. Yes, the picture was from 2011, but that is because the ID is valid for 6 years, and in a couple weeks it will expire and I will thankfully get a new picture. Anyway, I thought it was very unprofessional of this worker to deny my ID and then proceed to hand it to a stranger in the store. That has my personal information on it! He also started complaining to me that if he sells cigarettes to underage individuals, he gets fined a couple hundred dollars. This annoying interaction lasted about 10 minutes. I kept assuring this man that I am OVER a decade OLDER than the legal age to purchase cigarettes. Needless to say, I will not be visiting this Krauzers again. I am not a child, I am an adult and this should not have been this stressful of a process for a 29 year old to buy one pack of cigarettes with a valid ID.

A good news is in air, soon some new people are taking charge of Wallingford's Krauzer food store, I wish these young and energetic people could makes some change to serve the community. Wish them good luck.

There's really not a lot of good grocery stores in the area, so we decided to try this one out. It's in a pretty sketchy part of town, so don't go at night? For a convenience store, the selection was...fine. They've got all the typical junk food, coffee, canned goods, personal hygiene supplies, but the fruit was far from fresh. There were like, 5 bruised apples in the bin. The workers were friendly enough, got me an extra bag when I asked. If you don't mind how run down the place looks (inside and outside) they'll probably have everything you need. Except eggs.
